i have had their food twice now and its been amazing both times. Kunafeh is one of the most onpoint ones i have ever had. The Steak and the chicken wraps are delicious as well. I recommend eating it right as it gets ready, best eaten hot!!!
The food is delicious and nutritious. I had the fallafel platter and it was excellent. The mimt and sage teas are excellent as is the coffee. I had the grilled chicken salad and it was great and prices are very reasonable.
First time there and I loved it! I had thier falafel wrap and it was the motherfuckin bomb! The humus was slamming, and they even bake thier own pita bread. Definitely worth checking out.
Food was excellent. The kunafa is made fresh to order and is the best we've ever had. Definitely a gem in Brooklyn worth the commute.
Authentic Middle Eastern food! Everything is so fresh and the atmosphere is warm & welcoming! Highly recommend!
The food is delicious! The interior design is very warm and cosy which creates a great atmosphere for eat-alone or with family and friends. Most importantly love the owners, the employees are very polite and friendly. Everything is freshly prepared. you'll come out of there with a full tummy and a happy face :)
Stuffed whole lamb, to order.....delish....and best kanafa in the City of New York!!
Taheni is a family owned restaurant and when you're there, you feel like family. From the homemade Palestinian and Mediterranean dishes to the warm and welcoming Deib siblings (and mom) who take care of you, Taheni raises the bar for Arab hospitality in Brooklyn eateries. I'd go back a hundred times over.
Amazing family restaurant. You can tell how much they care about the quality of their food. Super fresh and flavorful. Chicken schwarma is amazing!
Food is amazing, friendly staff. 5-star all day!!!
Absolutely most delicious mediteranian food !! Fresh and super tasty.. wonerrful staff and family freindly!
Great food, great service, super nice people--go visit them!
LOVE LOVE LOVE TAHENI! The food is amazingly delicious. The owners are the nicest, most friendliest anyone can ever meet. Their restaurant is always clean. Just over all great experience at Taheni. Hold up! Did I mention their Kunafah? Most delicious my family and I have ever had! Definitely worth every penny!!
Pictured: chicken platter - $12, steak shawarma wrap - $11, zatar fries - $4, mango lassi & baklava shake
Taheni Mediterranean Grill recently opened up its third location in the Staten Island Mall Food Court. You can customize your entire meal by choosing the type of rice, hummus and sides you want in your platter or wrap. The chicken was a little dry but the rest of the platter was very flavorful. The steak wrap was delicious - especially with their garlic sauce. The zatar fries are a must! The mango lassi was a 10/10 - definitely preferred it over the baklava shake. The service was quick and they have Ziosks to make the ordering process even easier. Definitely check them out! 🌯

Very fresh food, high quality vegetables and pickles and large amount. Don’t waste too time being served. 10% tip option and you order at a kiosk. We need more of this.
We have to talk about their sauces because no one’s really mentioned it yet which I feel is a cardinal sin because their Shattah sauce is a tiny little container of PERFECTION.
Seriously they need to find a distributor and bottle it up, because I’d be first in line at the grocery store. Or even just sell bottles of it. It’s so good there are times I’ve gotten food elsewhere but will do an entire order of just that darn sauce because nothing else compares. Buffalo who? Sriracha where? A1 what?? I’m officially ruined for life because I don’t know how my tastebuds will survive in the future without it. Beware it’s spicy (I have high spice tolerance so to me it’s just a slight kick). TMG & Taheni Sauces are also mouthwateringly delicious. But garlic sauce I wasn’t a fan of.
Zaatar fries are fantastic, though their shawarma fries are my go-to. Deliciously crispy and more filling since it’s topped with chicken and tons of that delicious TMG sauce.
For the wraps, I’ve had better in my life, but these are quite solid. Probably second best I’ve had in the neighborhood (best by a mile is Kotti Berliner Döner Kebab, and is so good you might actually cry - so very hard to beat). Chicken option is good, though I do find it doesn’t have much seasoning on its own and is definitely helped by sauces. Gyro option is great, though you can tell its not high quality meat - kinda has that common mystery meat texture. Great flavor though! Steak…not so no good - meat was pretty unseasoned and relied heavily on the sauces & fillings for flavor. Not worth it given the higher cost. I’d go for gyro if you want beef. Same applies to the platters.
Their TMG Chicken sandwich is nice but I kinda wish it had an option for a regular bun, as the cheese pita is a cool idea but a bit too heart attack inducing. Same with the Halloumi fries - would be nice to have a basic grilled option with no breading & deep frying.
5 stars for food, 3 stars for delivery/takeout as they deliver fast but are very unresponsive. Have called on different occasions and no one’s ever picked up. Have also added order notes (like asking the halloumi cheese not be fried) that go ignored. Hopefully that improves.
One of the best restaurants I have ever eaten at. The food is delicious and the customer service was great. Such a lovely family owned business. Definitely recommend it. Make sure you have the Baklawa milkshake!
Had a great pita falafel sandwich and side of hummus with half of a pita bread. The tahini sauce was great and enjoyed the additional side of white sauce. Wish I got more pita as the portion of hummus was more than enough for my sandwich and extra pita! Need to come back to try the balaclava milkshake!
The falafel tastes so fresh. I had the wrap and dined in. They bring your food to the table. My partner had the steak platter. The woman working the front desk was kind and answered many of our questions since I'm vegan. The cool thing about this place is ordering food on the kiosk.
The quality and service and food were beyond my expectations. If you’re looking for fresh, authentic, this is the place!!
Highly recommended and will definitely be back!
Woooooooooah daddy! This place is awesome. Definitely one of the best shawarma wraps I’ve ever had. It’s super clean and the staff is really nice. Prices are very fair especially for this area. No complaints here. I highly recommend it!
Delicious Mediterranean style wraps. Super easy and fast to order on the seamless kiosk. The wrap was toasted well and the filling was nice and fresh. I recommended coming here if you craving a good wrap in a hurry.
Came in for lunch, service was excellent, the flavor and quality of the food was really good. Servings were sufficient and just right. Nice atmosphere. Vegetarian options a plus.
The food is delicious and the owners are such good people. My family and I love to eat here. ❤️
Friendly family owned place that seriously knows how customer service should be! The staff was super friendly and the food and prices were great! I had the chicken shawarma and kunafa for dessert. Seriously looks and tastes great! We went in about 30mins b4 they were about to close and ordered 2 kunafas which usually take about 10-20mins to make and they were more than happy to make it for us AND kept it hot while we finished the sandwiches even when the kunafa was done before we were done. Absolutely recommend!
All baked goods and bread are made here a couple minutes before you buy them. Who does this anymore? Beef and lamb is 100% grass fed. A nice selection of vegetarian options as well. Atmosphere is not fancy but nicer than a usual take-out place. Eat in or take to go. They also deliver within one mile. Prices are very reasonable.
I’ve eaten here several times, and I am obsessed with the baklawa milkshake. All their food is good, but my favorite has got to be the hamburger.
