Very cool find, I lived in the neighborhood for 12 years now and I got to say this is by far the coolest coffee shop we've had. Friendly staff, good prices, and a really cool mural in the front. Will definitely come back.
When the owner himself is checking on the quality and service you can bet it’s going to be a great dining experience. La Tabun delivers on the promise of its name, hot, cheesy, crunchy, well seasoned delicacies straight from their own custom made tabun (oven). They care so much they have a Georgian woman come in part time to make khachipuri and other various Georgian breads, each one made with love and care. Their baked goods are well thought out with interesting and mouthwatering flavors you will not find anywhere else.
Look at the pictures, let your appetite take over and run to this neighborhood gem.
This place is a more upscale place with nice decor and warm atmosphere. The food is absolutely delicious, those pictures dont do justice! The soups were nice n hot and very flavorful. The pizza was nice and crispy and the tomato sauce was absolutely heaven on earth! Overall a very pleasant experience with delicious food and friendly staff.
Great food. Amazing experience 👍
This place is casual yet classy everything tastes so fresh and delicious , love this place.
Food is very good and refreshing. Owner is passionate and puts in a lot of energy into the place. Great pastries! Loved the salads. Will consider modifying to 5 star when service improves. They just opened so I don't want to be too harsh.
Most awesome place!! Kid friendly!! Bent over backwards to please, and the food was delectable! We arrived late at night and they made us feel like they had all the time in the world for us!!! A really special experience after a long traveling day for the family!
If you look at the reviews, you’ll notice a pattern of most low ratings- theyre all people talking about their friend Toni who was a waitress who didnt get paid.
(They also seem to have a pattern of only one or two reviews on their profiles...)
I dont know the owner.
I don’t know the waitress.
I DO know that anyone who has all their friends (or fake accounts?) write 1 star reviews on a business they had a problem with is solving nothing, while simultaneously hurting many more people (chefs, waiters, cleaners, etc) who are trying to make a livelihood.
I get the emotional perspective of wanting to get back at someone who hurt you. I wouldn’t be surprised if the owner is, in fact, cheap. Every restaurant owner is. There are probably 2 sides to this story. But all these people are just writing fictitious 1 star reviews because they see their waitress friend upset, angry, and being evicted from her apartment because she can’t pay rent (which also might say something about how stable she is).
Go check this place out yourself. If you like it? tell your friends. If you dont? tell your friends. Write your reviews. But don’t believe the google maps rating. The biggest flaw in rating technology is that it says nothing about the emotional bias. These reviews are mostly worthless indicators of whether someone would actually enjoy eating at this restaurant.
The food was delicious and the service was first rate. The attention to detail both with the classy food is only matched by the attentive owner who made sure we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. I highly recommend La Tabun.
Amazing menu, presentation, service & delicious food.
Such good food and service and such amazing pastries!!! I ordered the chocolate hazelnut tart, chocolate chip cookies with different herbs, and some sembusek to try and it left my mouth watering. Can’t wait to go back and try more!
We love La Tabun! The food is delicious and comes with a great atmosphere and wonderful service. Such a great place for a brunch or dinner. Very unique!
