Reviews Greene Grape Provisions

When shopping for your chicken to roast, steak to grill, or that special occasion holiday lamb to impress, the Greene Grape should come up at the top of your list of butcher counters to shop. The butcher counter at Greene Grape has long been a boon to the neighborhood, providing quality butchers and quality meats that satisfy the discriminating palate and the ethical consumer. The butchers take seriously the nose-to-tail production, providing cuts from the entire animal, as well as specialized cuts and offal and sausages and other forcemeats. And so take a moment for conversation to ask the butcher on duty for recommendations — they know the cuts and can help you pair something in the counter with the dish you’re preparing. You‘ll definitely walk away with a good cut of meat and probably also learn something for next time.

One of my favorite spots when I want to pick up some ingredients to cook something a little fancy—or just if I’m in the area and want a snack or sandwich.

Unique and local marketplace adds much to this nice strip of Fulton St. Delicious sandwiches and yummy looking cheeses and snacks make this a great place to pick something up for company, or for yourself. Four stars because some parts are slightly overpriced.

Are you looking for a boutique grocer with quality, high end products? Then Greene Grape is your place - just come prepared to pay for what you get as it’s more expensive than others locally. I love that there’s a full animal butcher and a small fromagerie too.

Definitely a market to treat yourself. Like others said, it’s not cheap. But the quality is pretty incredible. Love their prepared foods, really like grabbing their veggies and proteins for dinner. Amazing crew as well and always kind. Also, have used Too Good to Go which is fantastic and helps eliminate food waste. I got their bag one time and was so pleased with the quality, variety and amount of fresh food I got. Their plant burrito sandwich made me happy. I applaud them for partnering with the app and providing some affordable options at a great deal.

Love 😍 the homemade sandwich with tomatoes, red onion and raspberry vinaigrette with turkey. And the meat department is built with red meat that is from good stock I'm sure of it. Be back next week to try out the grocery shopping and another sandwich. Well done, cheers. Bohemian Brooklyn 🌻🌼

It's a boutique gourmet grocery store and has a little of everything. The prices are definitely on the higher side of things. But I know a few people that work there and they're paid a living wage. So I'm okay with spending a little more money to support a local store that does that.

This market has one of the best selections of imported sardines and other tinned seafood in the entire city. Perfect for assembling a picnic, a gift basket, or just leveling up a wine night at home.

A great place to shop for fine food. The produce is all organic and mostly from local farms, as close as the Navy Yard. The cheese selection is world-wide. Meats are grass-fed in local pastures and hand-butchered on the premises. There's a tempting variety of prepared dishes, a score of craft beers and more. Quality and freshness are closely monitored, and an excellent wine shop is right next door. Service is solicitous and prices, as you might expect, are at the premium level. But you do get what you pay for.

This place has amazing quality, hard to find items, like Rodolphe Le Meunier butter (the best). The prices, at least to me, don't seem higher than the usual for these kind of items. So grateful its in the neighborhood (and that it doesn't require a membership a la Park Slope coop).

I give it 5 stars for having quality ingredients, a great variety AND Ample Hills ice-cream, I just wish there were some lower-priced items, things here are a bit pricey. This is a good place to run to if you have 1-2 items you need, but not to do a big grocery run.

I love provisions especially Lena and The Butchers and also my cheese people, always very helpful and the price is always right depending on what you want and if I was going to spend an exorbitant amount on freshly cut meat ! I would definitely go there I love the Personal Touch

Always a wonderful experience. The soup bar got me through the winter I recently fell in love with the fish cakes and grilled broccolini. Looking forward to exploring the cheese section more.

Hats off to the butchers, always have a fresh and diverse selection of meats available, and the house made sausages are incredible. While the price point is higher than other markets in the area, the quality and selection you receive is unmatched!

My first time at this store was an experience I will always remember. I had the awesome pleasure in receiving help from a beautiful lady by the name of Laura. She did not become annoyed when I asked her for help. That really makes a difference to a customer shopping in an establishment like this. As a matter of fact even after asking for help and she assisted towards the ending of my shopping experience she once again ask me did I need her assistance. It's the small things that make a difference 2 consumers. Kudos to Greene grape for having an awesome staff member named Laura. The products located in this store tempted me to come back. And I will be back. Thank you for making my first experience a great one.
