My chop Tuna sandwich was everything! This place has the best best sandwiches every!
I avoid eating just to make sure I have enough space in my tummy for farmer in the deli every time I come home to visit. I can't miss this stopššš.
Best sandwiches ive found by far. Came all the way to get em from Allentown.
I've been going here since a little girl. The best sandwich and hero spot on earth. My favorite spot. People travel near and far just to get one or more.
A deli you can count on 24hrs, making fresh sandwich to your liking. I've been going to this deli since middle to late 80's and it hasn't changed.
Been going here since I was a kid I'm 40+ so that should tell u
BEST SANDWICHES IN BROOKLYN ......BY FAR.... I came all the way from Rockland County New York just to experience what everyone has been talking about and I must say I was most definitely pleased
Best Sandwiches in Brooklyn!
Nothing like it!! Been goin here for years my dad too since the 80s
This deli has been around since I was in public school (early 70ās). I live across town and I drive here if I want a sandwich. Always consistent. Never disappoints!! The line may be long. But WAIT!! Itāll be worth it. I Promise š„° I get my sandwich āchoppedā this is honey turkey, Swiss cheese, let, tom, onions, pickles, sweet peppers, mayo, black pepper, oil, and vinegar. I like to spread some on a good artisanal cracker..
THE BEST HANDS DOWN!! They give a nice heafty amount of meat and you just cant go wrong with that. Everything is made fresh in front of you. There was a line and i see why so i cant complain. It is definitely worth the wait. Grab a bag of chips and cold bev and you will be happy.
I had to wait in about a 10 person line for like 15 minutes but it was worth it. Really good classic deli sandwich - didnāt do anything fancy but dang am I thinking about that Sammy.
To true Fort Greene Brooklynites this place is called "Lauros". When I was a kid in the late 80's & you wanted a sandwich, especially when you were going on a school trip... this is where everyone went. They've been around forever and after living in a few areas of Brooklyn but visiting several, they are still the best place to get a deli sandwich. Most of the time there is a line for sandwiches so be prepared, but trust and believe it is well worth it. They are not cheap with your ingredients or toppings & you can get your sandwich regular or "chopped". (Chopped means they take the ingredients of your sandwich turkey, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, mayo etc... and expertly chop & mix it up in front of you before putting it on the bread. If you don't want bread you can put it in a container.) It costs about $8 and you won't be disappointed. I don't know the last time I didn't get my sandwich chopped. It makes such a difference in the way the ingredients meld together & I always tip them because they do such a good job.
Oh my goodness; they make the best sandwiches on rolls or heros. There's 2, but I like the one that resides at 357 Myrtle Ave going towards downtown. If you like your meats chopped for your sandwich they'll do that also.
This is a neighborhood favorite. If you want a freshly made sandwich this is the place. Tuna fresh out of the can chopped an mixed to your liking. If you need to put it together later they will put it in a container for you. You can place it on your bread later or make yourself a tuna platter.
If you're from near Downtown Brooklyn or the Clinton Hill area, you already know this is THE sandwich place. If you're above a certain age, "Lauro's" (original name) is where you go when you want a hero sandwich. Day or night. Unless you go at an odd hour be prepared to wait. The sandwich will be worth the wait though. Carnivores will not be asking, "Where's the meat in this sandwich? "
Simple corner store deli that took a smart business approach... make fat sandwiches! Long line, but worth the wait. If youāre in the area and your hungry..Check out this spot
