The food was excellent. A small restaurant but worth the trip. We were 4 people and everyone was happy with the menu and how the food was made. We had beet salad and baked eggs in sauce for appetizers. Excellent. I haven't had eggs in sauce since I was a kid and really enjoyed it. For dinner I had ragu sauce with butter and cream. The sauce was so light and delicious. My husband had the pasta with basil, tomato and mozzarella on top of the sauce. Excellent. Our friends had excellent dinners also. We will definitely go back. This has become one of our favorite restaurants.

Smoked salmon sandwich for lunch. What could be better than that? They also have Italian and American standard food for you less than adventurous diners. Poop to you though because you are missing out. The staff is always friendly and their beer menu is just as good as the food menu. Enjoy. Eat. Drink. Smile.

I always love coming here for brunch. They're very generous with the unlimited drinks, and the food is delicious. I came here today with my aunt, and our server, Aaron, was so fun, nice, attentive, and professional. It's never anything less than wonderful here, but today was so absolutely perfect that I had to write a review. Come here and eat the eggs benedict!

The brunch at Apertivo is the best deal I have been able to find. All you can drink for an additional $3 on top of the cheap brunch price of $12.95. I would recommend the burger it is delicious. I have been a long time regular at this place going on 5 years now. The only reason I give it Very Good instead of Excellent is I recently went there and asked them if we could get plates for a dessert we brought and they were going to charge us a plating fee which would have been okay but at a place I am a regular at for five years it would have been nice for them to give us that favor. I also never order dessert so they wouldn't be losing money.

This adorable brunch place is located along a long stretch of Brooklyn's 5th Ave with a ton of idiosyncratic shops and local businesses, so it's a pleasant walk there to meet up with friends for Saturday brunch. We found this place through BuzzFeed's 15 Best Cheap Brunch Places in NYC article (as 20-something perpetually broke yuppies living in illegally walled apartments who still split the bill are wont to do), and it did not disappoint. I scarfed down the eggs florentine, which is pretty hard to get wrong, but it was a great amount of food for the price (most brunch entrées are around $12). There's also a ridiculously cheap bottomless drinks option that comes with brunch, so clear out your schedule one of these weekend days and go to town. There's no such thing as a free lunch in life, but at least for lunch in downtown Brooklyn (and a booze-y one at that), it can get pretty close.
