The mushroom burger above my expectations, bar tender was pending all the time, maybe too early to live the party experience but the music was a plus, good selection for rock and pop

Since they reopened, the food and service has been so much better. I had a burger (which was top notch) and a cold beer at the bar while watching the game. Found my new favorite bar in Brownsville. 10/10.

I must say I really like this place. Yes, the music is loud but NOT that loud. It's all rock music which my spouse and I enjoy. They have food and drink specials at different days n times. The restuarant has on outside patio and several screens to watch a game. The wings and burgers are great. UPDATE : 01/24/2023 McCarthy's reopened. Yay !
Went for saint patricks they had two live bands. They had green beer and all around it was a fun time.
Update:. We went Tuesday evening. Service and food we're great. I am gonna change my review and chalk it up to an off day! Good job guys!
This is the second time I have been. I think the music is great. The atmosphere is great with a sports bar vibe. But Tuesdays the service is too slow Two different people said they would be right with us. One finally took our drink order. We wait and wait only to look up and she is stocking straws. Then she does finally get our drinks and disappears into the kitchen with them. Only one other couple there when we arrived.
Stopped by McCarthy's Irish Pub for the first time the other day. Nice atmosphere. Classic rock playing in the background. Good happy hour prices. Wing specials on Mondays. 2 for 1 Burger specials on Tuesdays. The food is good. The beer is cold. They have indoor and outdoor seating. This is a really nice place to hang out, and we will definitely be back often.
I just had their Tuesday buy one get one free burger special and man was it delicious! I would go with the classic or cheeseburger. Their meat is really delicious so the simpler the burger the more you can appreciate the meat and bun of the burger. Also their fries or super tasty with a nice crunch!
Because a person in my party was kicked out of Shenanigans because the owner was being a bit out of sorts (probably under the influence) towards that person. He even recommended we come here if we didn’t like it there, that was before he kicked him out.
Anyway that’s besides the point, we came here. Service was good, food wasn’t bad. Can’t really complain much honestly. Just thank your rival Irish bar for drumming up business for you!
