For me maybe the best BCD in OC if not in entire LA and OC..It could get very busy during lunch/dinner time..Food and service absolutely perfect!
Taste just like any other BCD tofu houses. This place is not as crowded compared to other BCDs and there's no wait during weekdays!
They will also refill your side dishes if you ask.
The only cons is probably that the restaurant looks old and the tables and chairs probably needs to be replaced. Other than that I have no complaints.
One of my favorite Korean tofu soup restaurant chains. Best bang for your bucks on a hot bowl of tofu soup, white rice, and various side dishes. Free refills on the side dishes and their kimchi is solid. Still comes with the fish side dish. Recommend making it a combo with a few add-on options; we opted for the hot-stone bibimbap. Really enjoyed the bibimbap with all its toppings and red chili pepper paste. If you still got room, add the warm barley water to the rice pot so the crusted rice will turn into soup (noo-roong-jee).
They sell gift cards too, $15 for the regular tofu meal and $30 for the tofu combo meals. Plenty of parking and stores in this area. Easy 5 stars.
Food was tasty. It was a cold day so a hot spicy bowl of soon tofu always hits the spot. Galbi was tasty.
Service was average for some odd reason that night. It was really hard to get water refills and I didn't get any until I finally flagged the bus boy who alerted the waitress.
For $38 (before tip), I can have a feast at BCD Tofu House. I order the spicy pork combo with the mushroom soft tofu stew, two bottles of beer and three bowls of rice.
The food was great and the seating was spacious. We even had time to go next door for coffee and macarons
Galbi rib taste great and I personally think it’s better than any other Korean bbq places in Cali.
Nice place with solid food. I think overall the price justify the quantity and quality. I do recommend not getting the mild flavor. I. Not sure if it's because I like to eat the spicy version, but mild flavor literally tastes like just water.
short wait time for table but great good and fast service.
Like everywhere, staffing is impacting this restaurant. The limited staff did all they could make the dining experience pleasant.
Pricing is more than fair, and the quality of the food hasn't suffered, unlike many other restaurants.
One pro tip. If you like an egg to be dropped into your soondooboo, ask while you're ordering. Otherwise, you will not see an egg swimming in the boiling broth.
Delicious, clean Korean food palatable to Koreans & nonKoreans alike. I like their combos of entree & tofu stew which comes with sides. BCD Tofu House is a chain restaurant for a good reason. Staff isn't fluent in English, but they're communicative.
I have lunch in this restaurant. It was great spicy food.
Food is very good.
But staff is not kind.
Galbi was good. but not soontofu. LA one much better, even chodang or myungdong tofu is better than BCD in Buena Park. But #1 best place for me is BCD in Koreatown LA
So good. I got the dumpling tofu bowl and hot stone bibimbop combo. The taste was great. The service was good but they don't really return to you unless you wave them down. They were very busy for a 930pm Thursday evening. I recommend this place if you want a tofu bowl.
Galbi here is really good when they cook it fully. Minus a star for spotty galbi checks. Tofu soups are so good. This one is the smallest bcd ive been to. Some waiting times due to this. Service is on and off. They dont come around and ask if u need. U gotta wave em down.
Holy cows. Outstanding foods and service. Bit pricey but definitely worth it.
Food: 10/10
Price: 7/10
Service 9/10
I love BCD Tofu house since the 1st time I tried this food back in 2005. The original tofu soup is my favourite. Hot and spicy but delicious and can warm you. Thr soup come with steamed rice and side dishes like fish and kimchi and all taste good.
