I was feeling adventurous and decided to check out Kuni Sashimi House, a Korean and Japanese fusion restaurant in Buena Park. The food was fresh, delicious, and generous. I ordered the tacos, which were actually sashimi wrapped in seaweed with various toppings. They were amazing and flavorful, and came in a metal taco holder that made me feel like a cowboy. The sashimi was very fresh and tender, and the sauces were spicy and tangy. I also tried some of their other dishes, such as the live octopus, the oysters, and the uni pasta. They were all very good and satisfying, but not as good as the tacos.
The place was very cozy and nice, with a farmhouse chic decor and windows that let in natural light. The service was friendly and attentive, and they checked on us frequently. They also brought us many side dishes that came with the sashimi combo, such as soup, salad, rice, kimchi, and more. They were all tasty and complemented the main dishes well, but not as well as the tacos.
I would highly recommend Kuni Sashimi House to anyone who loves sashimi or wants to try something different and creative. They have a variety of dishes to choose from, ranging from traditional to fusion. They also have breakfast, brunch, bakery, and catering options. They source their ingredients from local farms and their own farm in Temecula, which makes their food fresh and organic. Kuni Sashimi House is a hidden gem that delivers quality and taste, especially the tacos.

Delicious Korean Japanese izakaya. We had the mixed tempura, sashimi bibimbab, fresh sashimi flounder and spicy octopus and & pork bulgolgi. Fresh ingredients and good service.
My friend and I decided to stop by here on a whim since we were craving some type of sashimi. We both hadn't had Korean sashimi before, so we wanted to compare how it was to Japanese sashimi. We decided to go with the Assorted Sashimi Platter. It came with toro, salmon, tuna, yellowtail, halibut, and octopus. And wow! That thing was massive for just the two of us. It was definitely a good portion for 3-4 people. The combo itself came with a phletora of banchan. The first set of banchan had items like: cold cabbage soup, corn cheese, steamed egg, kimchi, raw marinated shrimp, live octopus, raw oysters, miso soup, and abalone congee. We were then given our sashimi platter. The fish was pretty fresh, and the slices were nice and thick. We made mini handrolls without rice, and just used the kimchi. I feel like we should've asked for rice since the pieces were thick, but we didn't want to make ourselves prematurely full. Our favorites were the toro, octopus, and the yellowtail. It was a very different experience since we were given sesame oil, but we were also given soy sauce and wasabi too. We ended up ordering the uni pasta, which is made out of uni paste, cooked uni, and udon. It was definitely tasty and different than most places that we've tried before. We didn't know there was a second set of banchan coming our way, which included items like: spicy few stew, fish tacos, takoyaki, tonkatsu, sardines, tteokbokki, potato pancake, mackerel, tempura, and a crunch roll. It was so much food! We ended up having to pack some food to go. More than enough with the portions - definitely family style type servings. Highly suggest coming with an appeite and with more than 2 people. There were tanks of fresh seafood, and an ample amount of seating. The service was quick. The parking was free in the plaza. We definitely enjoyed our experience!
Fresh and delicious foods. Very nice servers. Definitely coming back to try different menus. Strongly recommend if you like Korean style Japanese cuisine.

The food was amazing! My dad and I ordered the small sashimi combo and it was way more than enough for the two of us! Excellent service and excellent food!
I had been wondering about this Izakaya (Japanese style pub), which is always full of people; well, this past Sunday I saw it empty and decided to seize the moment and went in to check for myself what the fuzz was about and ordered the Seafood Dynamite with Bay Scallops, Shrimp, Mushrooms, Onions in a Creamy Mayo Sauce to go and thoroughly enjoyed watching the cooks preparing it; I have to say this was an absolute exquisite assault to my taste buds and will be back for more next time I am in Buena Park....乾杯 Kanpai!!
Fresh, delicious seafood. Friendly staff. It's the Korean seafood restaurant I've been looking for.
We had the Fish egg bimbimbap, spicy Octopus stir fry, and soy marinaded shrimp.
This place was good it had variety of food a available for you to choose, food presentation was good, the tofu udon I believe it was a little over price for what you get I think they can do better with their pricing on items like this in order to make it more attractive, their salmon roll was priced right and I love it, my friend got a spicy hot udon soup she ate only half of it probably wasn't as great as she expected but she liked it, outside seating was great except for some flys bothering our sushi salmon roll, but this place was good place and I recommend it.
Amazing food and great service! Very pricey, but worth your money!
They provided the food and service beyond my expectations.I wanna give 7stars.
Everything is really good.
Staff and food are so really excellent.
However, there are not enough space for parking.
Great Food and Great Service! I will definitely come back. Fish was fresh. Their all side dishes were tasty!
Love this place. Nice little treasure that snucked in this plaza. It is truly indeed an authentic Japaense restaurant. We got the udon and mini donguri combo. Really good! Service was excellent too. I'd come here again for sure!
Best Sashimi !
Very kind server and awesome service!
We go there even though we live in LA(20 miles away)!
It's mainly Korean style sashimi place with few other things. Main dish was awesome with condiment dishes came with. And then there were many other side dishes cmae after. Those were ok and so many. I will come back here.
This place is the best Korean Sashimi place I've ever been to!
I typically drive to ktown, but not anymore with Kuni here! I called and made a reservation for 10 people at 6pm on a Saturday night and they had my table ready at a timely manner. I got the large assorted sashimi combo and the small live halibut + flounder combo and it was amazing!
The staff was super attentive, being very cognizant of the size of our party and making sure each person got their individual porridge, miso soup, etc. They also came and explained all the dishes which most establishments don't.
Everything was delicious and fresh, honestly couldn't ask for a better experience!
Whoo hoo! As good as it gets!!!
