Taste of Tokyo has them beat hands down...I am a sushi fiend...love quality and quantity. I have eaten at the best sushi restaurants and buffets. This is top quality hand made sushi like you get in Japan (seriously, I have been there) on floating wooden boats (29 of them, I counted!) constantly cruising around the restaurant, Wait it gets better take what ever you wish, finish everything you take and it is TWENTY DOLLARS PER PERSON!!! This is the best kept sushi secret in Chicagoland!
Don't tell me it is too far either...I live around Wrigley and it is half an hour away...well worth the trip. They need a brighter lit green sign but it is well worth the effort. I give it FIVE STARS!!!

First time trying this place and it was so cute! The floating boats (like a conveyer) was unique! The staff were all nice and attentive. Personally, I love salmon and tuna. The salmon was amazing and the tuna was pretty average. I also loved the sweet potato roll and edamame. I would highly recommend all of the salmon rolls. They have a small menu but wide variety of things to choose from and the chefs are very nice and accommodating as well. Overall the price was fair.. a touch on the high end but the salmon was very quality and worth it. I would highly recommend trying this place!
This hidden gem was introduced by a co-worker back in 2014. I've never been disappointed with Joe's creation since then (main chef). Crawfish nigiri, white tuna (sashimi & nigiri), snow crab roll, unagi, seaweed salad, spicy tuna, salmon sashimi & nigiri, and spider roll are outta this world. I highly recommend this place to all sushi lovers that knows what fresh and top quality sushi and Japanese cuisine tastes like. My entire family loves this and Joe has been our all time favorite and go to Sushi & Japanese Chef
The best sushi in Buffalo Grove! Servers are super friendly and there's a good selection for non-sushi eaters as well. They've already done the sushi bar so that there are floating boats, especially prepared choices, easily accessible. They also serve wine, beer, and good warm sake.
We love coming here as a family! They remember us every time and they make rolls for the boats to your liking. They are so friendly. Highly recommend

Great service and excellent quality sushi. Staff are always friendly and willing to give recommendations. You can dine at the bar by the floating sushi boats or traditional seating. Overall great experience and awesome date idea if they enjoy sushi, allergy warning for seafood.
The Food is great, loved the sushi options in the rotating menu, the service was amazing, always asking if we needed something else and very kind with kids! Will definitely come back !
This is our favorite sushi place in Buffalo Grove. We never dined inside, get pick up only. The sushi and rolls are always fresh and look amazing. Our favorite rolls are Rainbow, Dragon, Mapia, Shrimp Tempura, Spicy Tuna & Salmon and Spider. We like it on the spicy side.
Staff is very nice and accommodating. Make good conversation. Food is good quality. The boats that transport the sushi is a cool concept!

We have been going to Taste of Tokyo for over 6 years, It’s sad that it took us so long to discover this place. It is our favorite sushi around here. Their hospitality and customer service is what sets them apart. The sushi is always fresh and delicious. They have rolls for everyone!
When my wife was pregnant, she craved ToT and they accommodated us with her special dietary needs. She ate rolls like sweet potato, shrimp tempura, and other specialty items Joseph was able to create.
Some of our favorite rolls over the years have been Illinois Roll, Sweet potato, Green dragon, Crazy roll, New Orleans, Spicy scallop, super white tuna nigiri, and crawfish nigiri!
ToT is always in our carry out/dining rotation!
