Soup was good, salad was better, loved the ceasar dressing, got the feast for 2, everything was delicious and perfectly cooked, staff was friendly and helpful, great first experience, I would recommend this place to any seafood lover.
Always hesitant to eat seafood in Buffalo but the food was amazing; as if it came out of the ocean and onto our plate. Scallops with bacon as an app were cooked perfectly, the homemade soups and salad dressings were very good; full of flavor, and our entrees were excellent. Service was great; very attentive. Can't wait to return!
This was my first experience at the Viking Lobster Co. and I can't believe I have never been here. If you love lobster, crab and other seafood call in and make a reservation to indulge in a real treat. Everything was so fresh and delicious, generous and cooked to perfection. Décor could be casual or formal, you feel comfortable either way. Our host the owner, was very charming indeed. Service was second to none. I highly recommend this hidden treasure for a special occasion or to enjoy a fish fry. Bon Appetite!!
Like was already stated, do not judge the book by its cover. This place was amazing! Seated immediately, everything was explained, the food was fabulous, our waitress Stacey was the best ever! We will be going back soon.......A must try at least once......probably will return. Thank you Viking Lobster Co. for making my husbands bday the best and that came from his mouth.
Thank You for making my wifes birthday awesome. From the clams casino to the homemade salad dressing it was 5 star. Fresh as you can get and made to order. Do yourself a favor and try this place. Staff is top notch and friendly. We will be returning. Wife got the feast for one (huge) and I enjoyed a fish fry with loaded smashed potatoes. Thank You Viking lobster company.
After years of anticipation we finally made it!l to Viking Lobster Co and-it-was-FANTASTIC!! The food was great, pace of service and food presentation was just right, and overall, my favorite place for seafood in WNY!! BYOB for those that don't know, cash only and I'd highly recommend a reservation since seating is fairly limited.
Just had a Christmas party there yesterday. The experience was great. Every single person (13) had a blast. We were all taken care of, every bite was great. Apps, soup, salad, and entree were all well timed and the service matched. Highly recommend for anyone who likes seafood..plus the few who ordered the 16oz steaks all thoroughly enjoyed!
Omg....I can't say enough. The food and service exceed our expectations. Honestly, don't let the prices scare you. It was worth every penny. Thanks Viking, for making it a special night.
We went thursday night on October 12 2017. I got the ultimate feast and me wice the fillet. For apps we got scallops and 1/2 order of clams. Everything we had was amazing. I have told atleast 50 people in the last 2 days about this place. Best around hands down. PS dont be afraid of the price, with seafood it is constanaly changing. Even though its seems like a lot of money, it really isnt for what you get. Service was great also. Definately recommend going to tbe VIKING LOBSTER COMPANY
Amazing service and what an experience! Numerous courses all served perfectly timed out. Everything was delicious. Best salad dressing I have ever had in my life- asked if we could buy some and they were happy to send us out with some...couldn't have been more pleased. Fish was fresh and how can anyone complain about a place that let's you bring your own drinks and provides ice buckets and a cork screw! Loveee and definitely going back soon.
I LOVE this place! Great atmosphere, great food and great service! Everything was delicious!!! BYOB! They brought us glasses and an ice bucket for our wine! Very nice there, our party of 10 all enjoyed it!!
My family and I LOVED this place! If anyone has anything bad to say, please do yourself a favor and ignore it! I'm a huge seafood fan and I thought this place was excellent! The 5 lb lobster is worth every penny! It's reservation only so our party of 6 was there for hours and never felt rushed! The service and food were fantastic and I HIGHLY recommend it :)
Can't wait to go back! Everything was amazing from the apps (seafood egg rolls and the pile) to the soup (Portuguese clam soup and gumbo) to the salad (creamy clam dressing and basil Caesar) to the feast for two. Our server Christine was attentive and fun too. Loved everything about this place

Delicious food, great service.. I took a lobster-lover here for his birthday. We were joined by non-seafood eating friends. We sampled the lobster eggroll and pork dumplings - both very tasty (although we skipped the VERY spicy sauce after a small sample). The chowder (my favorite), a Portugese-style recipe, was amazing with big pieces of sweet crab. The gumbo, also containing crab along with the traditional array of meats, was hearty and well spiced. They served a very fresh garden salad (I suggest the house caesar on the side as it's VERY garlicy, even to a garlic lover) and had no qualms about providing my friend who wasn't interested in the soups with a larger salad as a subsitute. They happily substituted a huge portion of fries (which I was told were tasty and well seasoned, but did not try) with dinner for my even fussier friend who didn't want soup or salad. The birthday boy got a 1.5-2lb lobster stuffed with steak cooked to order and topped with seasoned mashed potatoes. I got haddock provencal - the portion was gigantic, the fish fresh and firm and the tomatoes and pepper topping amazing. The others got steak, char grilled chicken and ribs, all with slaw and/or fries, and were all very pleased. As it was a slower day the owner waited on us personally - she was incredibly knowledgable about the menu/ specials and very friendly. The chef also personally came out to check on us. An excellent, fun night.

This restaurant is the best,. As of June 2011 no liquor license so you bring your own and no corkage fees. Cash or check only but the food portions are great, the Seafood is fresh, and you get a lot for your money. The Caesar dressing is super garlicky so if you are a true garlic lover- enjoy! Don't be fooled by the outside, stop in, but it is small so call ahead!

Incredible seafood and BYOB. The seafood is great, pricing is superb, service is awesome and the fact that you can bring your own drinks, really allows you to pair your drink menu to the food without limitations and the added expense. They have a great market and are one of the only places I'll go for seafood. (Wish I lived closer but it's worth the little bit of a drive for me.)

What an amazing experience! My fiancee and I came for dinner ( date night ) and had a truly wonderful evening. From appetizer to entree, our food was fresh, cooked and seasoned perfectly. I couldn't have asked for better quality. The ambiance of the interior was quiet and comfortable with the service being excellent. We will definitely return soon and frequently. Many thanks
Best seafood you can get.. I have eaten all around the world, from some of the most expensive, 5 star restaurant to fresh catch markets. I can say this was a great meal and experience. The food was flawless, The taste was perfect, the service was excellent and the atmosphere was fun. The place is a total dive on the outside. Which adds to the whole character of the place. I'm totally recommended you go here and try it. Order the Spanish rice too, you won't be disappointed. I totally found it by accident, so happy I gave it a try. Cash only, and bring your own alcohol..
Bring your own liquor!!??! Of course this place is great. Don’t let the surrounding area scare you aware from this place. It’s not dangerous, we’re just poor over here in Riverside Black Rock :). Had the fish platter and while visually amazing, Just wasn’t what I expected. Maybe the fault is on me. But it was not seasoned and everything kinda tasted like one another (everything lasted like the full fish at the bottom of the platter). Otherwise, small, cozy, warm and a great time with friends.
