Been going here a long time. Such a great atmosphere and staff, that I now refer to it as my "home place" for food and apps. (not to mention half price wine bottle night) Considering the superior service, outstanding menu, and some very fun clientele keeping barstools warm, Porter Creek is by far the best dining establishment south of downtown Minneapolis. Keep up the great work everyone!
My husband and I love this place. You definitely pay a little more... but the ambiance, the serving staff, and the food is well worth the price. We just went for our anniversary and had Katie M for a server. She had an answer for every question, recommended her favorite food and drinks, and was just delightful. This will always be one of our faves.
Our lunch was absolutely amazing! We ordered the spinach and artichoke dip which was to die for. Our main meal we ordered the buffalo mac and cheese skillet along with the starter salad which both were amazing! Awesome food, Hayden our server was a doll. When I go back again I'll be requesting to sit in her section. 👍🏻

Porter Creek is been a great addition to the South Metro since it arrived seven years ago. We visit for special occasions, dinner with friends, as well as a great night out as a couple. We liked it so much we even had our wedding rehearsal dinner there four years ago. Great staff. Flavorful food. Always a great experience.
It's my go-to restaurant these days... affordable prices and very comfortable seating and of course the decor is beautiful. I would rate the food above-average slightly for the price range it's in but the appetizers and salads are too small. I'm sure the house salad is a profit item for them but I order salads everywhere except this place because they're too small.
What a great experience! Misty our server was very attentive and very knowledgeable of the wines and menu. It was simply three of us but she made a feel like royalty. Great wine and great food. Highly recommended!!!
We always get the best customer service. Our waiter Caleb was very knowledgeable with the menu! He did a wonderful job!

Tuesday night get together for 5 friends enjoying 1/2 price bottle of wine with 1/2 price appetizers after 9:00pm. Wait staff and the bar tenders are friendly, providing best service one can expect!

Oh my God the walleye is phenomenal it was fried and it was so tasty to saute spinach was out of this world and it complemented with roasted red potatoes the tartar sauce on top enhance the walleye the service was great the the restaurant looks great

Great food, service. I compare it to Redstone but much better priced and a lot better menu. We sat out in the sunroom and just loved it. Will comeback in the summer and sit outside. Well worth the drive from Maple Grove.

We went for dinner New Year's Eve. I had the rack of lamb with pomegrante glaze which was a seasonal speciality. It was fabulous! My husband had the pork tenderloin and it was excellent as well. The salad with honey citrus dresseing and candied pecans is the perfect blend of flavors. My favorite restaurant!

The whole experience was absolutely fantastic and great atmosphere. Our server Josh was amazing and never saw a half empty glass. He was very professional but related to everyone around the table. The manager Christine checked in with us and that means so much to ensure quality control at any establishment. The drinks were out of this world and I highly advise trying the Blueberry Basil lemonade if you love tart. It’s definitely my favorite. I had a rare Herb Crusted Hanger Steak as you’ll see in the picture and it was top 10 steaks I ever had. Melt in your mouth and I can assure you won’t be disappointed. Prices were definitely more than fair with the quality of food. The place had a very warm and inviting atmosphere. I can’t wait to go back !

Porter Creek is a beautiful restaurant. I went to lunch with my husband and his business associates. The fresh bread served for an appetizer was delicious! We all enjoyed our meals. The pasta was tasty. I don't eat meat on Fridays. The menu without meat was limited, yet the pasta was tasty. They have a large variety of alcoholic beverages available and a large food menu as well.
I hope to enjoy a different meal in the future.

Great spot for happy hour! I highly recommend the sausage and apricot chutney flatbread, if you’re a sweet and salty lover like me! That was a big hit. The margherita flatbread was delicious as well! My husband tried the local cider and said it was great.
We tried the bruschetta, which was basically a deconstructed bruschetta. It was good, but overpriced in my opinion, even for happy hour ($9). It was basically 2 slices of bread cut in half + a giant pile of tomatoes. Tasty, but could do without it next time. Definitely not enough pesto.
My husband stuck to appetizers for his meal, but I ordered the chicken bacon wrap, which was delicious. It was quite dry though - next time, I would ask for extra chipotle ranch inside. The entire sandwich menu looks amazing - I will definitely be working my way through that section of the menu!
We decided to try the cheesecake for dessert, which was good-not-great. Tasty and will fulfill a craving, but I’d probably rather have another appetizer instead!
We will definitely be back to try more items!
What a great dinner! We had a group of 7 people and the waitstaff was amazing. I had the Chicken & Bacon Wrap (Rotisserie Chicken, Applewood Bacon, Roma tomato, romaine, chipotle ranch in a garlic herb tortilla). My wife had the Walleye with Smoked Pepper Tartar, and my son had the BLT with Bacon Jam. We all loved our meals. I really liked the French fries; they were hot and crisp with just enough salt. The server also brought bread & butter for the table. The ambient noise was a little high but tolerable.
The food was absolutely AMAZING and the patio was beautiful! Great place for a relaxing date night or drinks with friends. Plus, they have 'happy hour' and 'late night' deals!
The restaurant atmosphere is an elegant northern minnesota cabin feel. There are different areas to dine...in the fireplace room with a huge chandelier, watch the chefs prepare your meal through the glass wall, the bar seating, booths both regular and round, tables that have beautiful large chunky wood tops, there are several wine walls, etc. The colors are warm and the bathrooms are separate room stalls that are clean. The food was in large portions, some had a take home box and others finished their meal.
I took my mother out for a birthday dinner and had a lovely time here. The atmosphere and smell of wine and wood smoke was awesome. The wait staff was fantastic. Although we ordered steak dinners we ended up taking home much of it after snacking quite a bit on spinach and artichoke dip.
