We have been going to PSB since they opened and we love the food and the people, and obviously people feel the same way because it's certainly standing on its own merit for all this time 🍕🥖🥪
Great place for subs and triple decker sandwiches. The quality and consistency has not changed, not even one tiny bit, since opening 40+ years ago. Best place for a sub within a 10 mile radius! I hear that the pizza is also great but I'm a sub guy so I can't give personal opinion on the pizza...
Structure doesn't look like much but the food is great! The chefs know there stuff! Excellent gluten free pizza and sandwich options. Non-gluten free options are delicious too! Chef salad has big bites of turkey, ham, and American cheese. Very reasonable prices for portion sizes and very fresh!
I grew up in Caldwell in the 90s and to this very day, I've never tasted a slice of pizza as good as these guys made. Sandwiches were also top notch, perfectly seasoned with lots of meat. If your in the west Essex area, do yourself a favor and check these guys out.
A classic spot on the main strip. Once you've eaten there, you'll understand why the place has been open for so long. Great offerings for sandwiches and pizza, massive servings. A "full size" sandwich is truly an undertaking, and could likely be enough for both lunch and dinner. Ask the staff for recommendations if the menu seems daunting - I went for a corned beef and turkey with Russian dressing. Definitely stop in if you're a fan of huge sandwiches.
The definition of a great hole in the wall. Small, a bit dated, and darned good food. the pizza is superb. They use better cheese than most places. The sandwiches are very, very good. In addition to new jersey style heros, they have triple decker sandwiches, and other varieties as well. They even have milkshakes. Prices are reasonable as well.
Old school vibe that has character. Food was good.
