Welcome to Camarillo! With all the so-called "Japanese" restaurants in the area it's a breath of fresh air to have a real authentic Ramen house in Camarillo. The tataki plates and small bowls are a fantastic starter before the main ramen course. The ramen is delicious and the real deal! Be prepared to wait if you go during peak dinner hours, but be prepared for the wait to be worth it. Great food and friendly service.

I used to live in Japan and I've been trying different Japanese places since I moved here in the US. And I will admit that Cagami is the only place I can say that has the authentic taste of real Japanese Ramen. I go there every week and I highly recommended to everyone to go see and try by yourself.

So far everything I had has been excellent with the added bonus of special noodle dishes, like tsukemen and maze soba, which I have not found locally and miss very much from my time in Japan

Small location but extremely good customer service and food. I ordered the house broth with pork belly and wow is that some of the best tasting I've ever eaten. The servers are always attentive and responsive. Our appetizer was Gyozu which was cooked perfect! I could visit this place weekly it's damn good! Check place out if you're in the area.

Food are very yummy, potion is good .The service is fast and very efficient, the price is reasonable and worth it. But most of all the servers made you feel welcome and very attentive to your needs.Highly recommended to everyone. No wonder the place is packed and has a very good rating on Yelp.

Their Ramen was really good, I got the Old School Tonkotsu, and though the bowl looks a bit small in this picture the serving size was pretty good. Service was also excellent and there are some decent outdoor seating options. Will definitely be back!

Very good flavors and American-sized servings. The Tonkotsu broth has a different flavor than other ramen shops I've eaten at in Japan and Southeast Asia. But that's to be expected. Every shop has their own recipe. The soup was served a bit too cool for my taste. Maybe they do that on purpose so people don't slurp their noodles in the restaurant - LOL. Next time we'll order ours extra hot. I prefer the chashu sliced thin. Here, you get two thick chunks of pork shoulder that you need a fork and steak knife to eat. You could easily get six Japanese-style slices of pork out of the two that are served in the soup. Maybe they also do this for American tastes. The pork is lightly fired which gives it an excellent flavor, though. I ordered the curry ramen which had a rich, flavorful soup. My wife, who is from Osaka, had the old school Tonkotsu ramen. We also had gyoza, which was delicious and I really enjoyed the casual izakaya feel.

Compared to the amazing ramen I experienced in Okinawa, Japan, this is the only local place that even comes close to being as good. It might be a small establishment, but the service is amazing and the visit is worth it. This place is probably now one of my favorite local restaurants and it deserves more business.

*** This restaurant replied to my wife's query about where their pork was raised: Norway, or was it Denmark. I'm an idiot but my taste buds are OK. And this place is good. Awesome with hot sakē!!

Legit ramen! Our friend, born and raised in Japan, says this is her favorite ramen restaurant in Ventura County. We took her word for it and we love eating here. If you’re passing through Camarillo, give it a try!

This is my wife and I's favorite ramen in SoCal. We actually like it more than the ones in liytle Tokyo in LA, and those ones are great too. Also, our baby's tummy was super full 😀 I generally get the Tonkotsu with pork broth and extra chashu, but you can't go wrong with any of the choices!
