Sandwiches are decent and price reasonably considering its a tourist area.
Lots of unique things to buy also.
Cardullo's is great if you're looking for that one specific weird thing that's hard to find elsewhere. I like a particular brand of salty liquorice that I'd otherwise have to order online and pay a billion dollars shipping for, but Cardullo's carries it. Their sandwiches are also pretty tasty.
My one gripe is that the markup is a bit much. I know it's a fancy specialty shop in Harvard Square, but it's expensive even for that.
Worth popping in to poke around and if you're trying to track down one specific thing, but most things can be found cheaper elsewhere.
(4.5 stars, really, but I'll spot them the half.)
Amazing sandwiches and excellent selection. My favorite is the caprese! The bread is the way it should be and the ingredients taste extremely fresh!
Long time fav for serious things are n the food economy,You know for many years this is where the professors would have had when they took a break in the classes at Harvard college and you would see some famous Nobel prize winners and teachers are to comics and scientists in the political realm
It's a bit expensive, but they have a lot of candy I've never seen anywhere else. They even have Marabou, Karl Fazer, and Milka chocolate (other than the Oreo kind) which I've only seen in Europe. Definitely a good place to go if you want to get someone some unique Valentine's Day candy.
Best deli spot around Harvard Sqaure. The cold sandwiches are phenomenal
