5 stars all around! If I lived here I would come all the time!. On vacation with my family and my dad said Quote: "This is the best taco I've had all week"! And he eats A LOT of tacos.

So delicious. It’s Definitely TexMax food but I am not complaining. It’s so delicious. My husband got the Patron burrito and I got the Fajita mix!!! Yummy! We always come here when we come into town. The staff is always so nice! Drinks are always good and food is always yummy!!
We couldn't have picked a better place to spend the evening with friends! Everything was just amazing and very reasonably priced. Will definitely be back again!

The Staff is Customer Centric and the food is great. The Salsa, Chips and Dips are very tasty, and have a good flavor. The Dinners are reasonably priced and taste fabulous as well! Go get some, lol!!

Absolutely excellent Pollo Loco, even with my
choice to just have the chicken, cheese sauce and rice. 3-4 soft tortilla to roll it up. I asked for extra cheese sauce and shouldn’t have, way too much food, very filling. Slow at 3:30 on a Wednesday but nice atmosphere. Would definitely eat here again. My partner got the El Capital burrito and it’s essentially what you see but rolled in a burrito and smothered with the cheese sauce.
Delicious! I recommend anything with the verde sauce. Their salsa and queso were super tasty. The location is perfectly convenient for a nice meal after a long day of hiking at Ha Ha Tonka. Friendly staff and fun decor come together to create a pleasant atmosphere all the way around.
Service was excellent and always attentive - food was solid but not stellar - prices were OK - only real downside was the white cheese appetizer that was the consistency of water, they tried to replace it but no joy....
It was excellent. Food and atmosphere were both great but the service was excellent. The guy who took care of our table was super friendly, very patient while my kiddo while he ordered, and very quick. Food tasted great and my drink was delicious. Plus the free ride on the galloping mechanical horse is super sool
Food and service was great. I had the fajitas. Large portion. It was fantastic. Chips and queso great also.

I accidently chose this restaurant. I thought I was picking another but, wow, the food was so good! I had the steak fajitas and they were delicious. Someone at my table had a burrito and it was so big and he said it was delicious! The service was also quick and our waiter was great too.

First time here at El Caporal. Fantastic find! We will be back!!!
I ordered the Caporal Fajitas, awesome dish (shrimp, chicken, chorizo, asada).
The chorizo was very tasty, and not at all greasy. The veggies were well seasoned, the shrimp were plump and juicy.
Our server Antonio, was very attentive without hovering.
We arrived before 3, but my fiancé had an important phone call and wasn’t off the phone until after 3. They still allowed us to order off the lunch menu.
The prices are very reasonable and the portions don’t leave you hungry!
It’s a very pleasant environment, the employees seem to like working here, everyone has a smile! 😁
The background music is pleasant but not too loud.
The special margaritas are awesome ($5.99 for a double!), everything was clean (floor and table, silverware and no dust on the decorations), it’s obvious that the employees care about their work environment.
If there was one minor negative it’s that the refried beans need a pinch more salt.
In case anyone has read my other reviews of eateries here at The Lake, I’m not all harsh criticism, effort and attitude go a long way in making a dining experience pleasant.

This place was packed on Sunday afternoon. Alex took care of us on the pattio and service wa prompt as was the food. The food was good and there was an appropriate amount. We will definitely be back!
Found this little gem on Hwy 54 in Camdenton. The chips and the taco salad bowl were freshly fried and so delicious. All the food was fresh, hot, delicious and very fast. The server was kind, efficient, and friendly. He was on top of things but not on top of us, just right.
Even tho they are always busy, the wait is not always long. The selection & quality of food is the best!!

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the white cheese sauce.
I’ve been living in S.E. Texas for 10 years so I know Mexican food pretty well. I had the chicken enchiladas. Meh. The frozen Margarita was good! Especially in 103 degrees temperatures! I’d go back and try something different. Something with a little more spice. In Corpus, I have to order my food “mild” or it’s covered in jalapeños. This place was too mild and I didn’t order it mild. Even the salsa was blah. Good service. Fast.
