Alan was a very attentive server and provided excellent honest recommendations. The fettuccine adding prawns was perfect for me. Fettuccine was tasty as expected and the prawns had a wonderful flavor. The steamed clams were good, not rich though. Clam chowder was excellent. We plan to go back next time we're in town. I recommend the Butter JaM Chardonnay with this meal, very good.

I can see why the Driftwood Restaurant has been around since 1944, the food is absolutely delicious. Love the old school atmosphere of the place with all the neat stuff inside the glass enclosed shelves. I tried the tempura shrimp which were large and very tasty; not greasy at all. Whenever I go to the coast, I always look for a place with clam chowder to see how it compares to other establishments. Driftwood’s chowder is some of the BEST I’ve had in years. It’s the nice thick kind (unlike Mo’s which has a more watery consistency) with large clams and bits of bacon. There’s an outdoor patio that faces Hemlock Street so you can enjoy watching people and smelling the nice salt air as you enjoy some of the best food Cannon Beach as to offer.

Good food and service in a very cool town. I met my cousin for lunch here and she was in the mood for seafood so I was instantly disappointed with the lack of choices on the lunch menu. I think they have a decent selection but not so much on the seafood side of things. We all enjoyed our food and the one thing that did stand out was the clam chowder- it was delicious. Our server was great and overall we had a good experience.

We were a large party and made reservations. We arrived early and they got us right in. The service was excellent and our server, Brian was kind and professional. The staff was attentive and always came by to check on our party and make sure our drinks were full. We have Gluten allergies in our party and they were able to accommodate for each of them. The food was fresh and very favorable. I recommend this restaurant to anyone going to Cannon Beach.

Pays to make a reservation. We called earlier in the afternoon and got a 6:30 reservation. We got there right behind a walk in group and they had a 45 minute wait. We were seated as soon as we arrived at 6:30. The food was well prepared and hot. Our server was friendly and efficient. The pumpkin display was an added highlight!

Dungeness crab roll salad was very tasty and side was salad. This was a busy restaurant with pumpkin carving contest during the Halloween. Waitress was very friendly and helpful.

The food was Amazing! I wish i had gotten a plate to take home. The clam chowder is so good! (as a New Englander it IS worth it). Our server Emily was awesome! It was nice and quiet for a Friday night, which was a nice wind down from a busy day at the beach. Definitely will be back for sure!

Great little restaurant in Cannon beach. They take reservations but it's very busy and usually it's 1st come 1st serve. They leave the patio alone for walk-in which is honestly the best place to sit as inside on a nice sunny day is pretty darkly lit. The food was good, I had the salmon with baked potatoes and my husband had the rib eye with fries. Would recommend!

We were very impressed with our visit to Driftwood. Fresh oysters, clams, and clam chowder in the sourdough bowl were fantastic. Or server was spot on and very friendly. The patio is dog friendly with a great view of the action on the street.

Absolutely amazing fish and chips. The cod was nice and moist, and the breading was perfectly seasoned. I also got a cup of their clam chowder and let's just say it was fantastic, way better than MO's ( but thats not necessarily saying much since Mo's is horrible, if you're a tourist don't fall victim to the Mo's advertisement)! Last but not least, the wait staff were all excellent. Super nice and always there for you!

Came here on a weekday during lunch, only had a small wait. There's plenty of public parking within walking distance. We had the crab salad and a fish sandwich (which wasn't on the menu but they were more than happy to make it). The service was good and timely, the food was delicious and had a good selection of non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks. Overall very much enjoyed the experience, would recommend.

Even though the restaurant was quite busy, the service was exceptional. The food was great. We were a party of 6 so we had a wide variety of dishes and they were all excellent. I can't really call this bad but, the only problem I had with the whole experience was the margarita I ordered. There was so much tequila in it that it was all I could taste. That being said, our server Brian gladly took it and got it fixed immediately. The replacement was delicious.

The clam chowder bowl may have been the BEST I’ve ever had. It was SO good! My husband got the clam casserole - also delicious. The staff is friendly and works very quick. The restaurant was packed and we still had very little wait time. Highly recommend this place!

My husband and I ate here at the recommendation of our friends Dave and Nancy Shortt. Boy did they nail it. We didn’t have reservations; however, we got seated right away on their deck. We shared a cup of clam chowder which was delicious. I had a Ribeye cooked to perfection with asparagus and garlic toast. My husband also gad the ribeye with fries and garlic toast, again cooked perfectly. Esmeralda was our server and she did a fantastic job. In this day and age where too many restaurants struggle to find employees the Driftwood seems to have it covered. It’s been a very long time since I have seen wait staff move as quickly and efficiently as they do. The manager, Jordan, was very friendly and runs a great business. I will give this restaurant 5 stars all day long. If I had to name one negative it would be too much salty seasoning on the steaks. That is only my opinion as I don’t use a lot of salt. Highly recommend.
