My wife and I decided to try this place out, in all the previous times we had been to Cannon Beach it was super busy, today it was busy but we did not have to wait for a table. I had a Blonde Ale which was very tasty, my wife had a local Merlot which was very nice. We shared the 5 piece Halibut meal. Wow! Probably the best halibut we’ve ever had super moist, not overly breaded, and served nice and hot! The music played was great all 80’s Classic Rock. We would definitely return here and highly recommend it.
What a great place to eat, drink and hang out with friends or family. Food was very good, had Bacon Burger which comes with potato chips. So if you want fries then just ask. We'll worth the lunch.
Great service and food. The server answered all our questions, was patient as we argued amongst ourselves about our food order and was always courteous. The hummus plate was great, generous portions. The vegetarian burrito was fresh and delicious. Extra bonus- you can bring your dog on the front porch as you eat. Loved that it was dog friendly, our shepherd chilled as much as we did.
We we’re very cold and very wet when we arrived…in desperate need of a hot meal. The staff were super friendly. The food came out quick and piping hot. It was delicious and hit the spot. We were pleasantly surprised to find a table right by the fire to warm up and dry off.
Friendly, fast service! Great root beer and local brews. Seafood stew was great and enough for two meals or two people.
Good food at a reasonable price. Ordered the spinach salad and added chicken. Would also recommend the seafood stew- full of fish!
Absolutely yes. We were there for lunch on a Monday. Oyster shooter was delish. Server recommended drinks, and they were spot on and amazing. Burger and onions rings, yum. Tuna melt, YUM; the touch of curry in the mix made it amazing. Service was fast and friendly, and restaurant and bathrooms were clean with great decorations. Highly recommend.
Good food, 80s music. Service was lacking.
Great food here and good drinks to choose from. Open later then some of the other spots in downtown Cannon Beach.
We always like coming here. It’s comfortable, casual, has great beer and tasty food. The onion rings are outstanding! And the salads are very good for a tavern known more for burgers than greens.
Great food, great drinks and great service! Staff was super friendly and it was one of the only places not completely packed at 9pm for a late dinner. The oyster shooters are amazing and decently priced. They have a good selections of beers on tap.
Just your basic pub food, craft beer, and other drinks. Today, I had a bowl of chili, onion rings, and grilled cheese with a glass of homemade root beer. All were great, and it hit the spot for this cold and rainy February day! Everything was a bit overpriced, but it's a tourist town!
We were there on Halloween for beers and decided to have dinner. We split an order of halibut and chips, and it was awesome. The halibut was fresh and cooked perfectly. The service was great too.
Oh my goodness. I don’t love seafood, but the halibut and cod were phenomenal. (It would have been nice to have a little touch of seasoning like Old Bay in the batter - the fish was so mild that it was hard to really taste anything.) The beer was great, and the kids’ meals were huge - we had enough chicken to take home for sandwiches at lunch the next day.
Great beer! Love the 2x4 Stout! Very gentle but full stout. I wish they had it in cans or bottles to take home. They sell it in growlers, so there is an option! I already have too many growlers at home...I need to remember to bring one next time we come to Cannon Beach.
The food is okay but don't like the chips (upgrade to french fries is possible but need to cut down on fries too).
I live in Arizona, but when I visit my son and his wife in Portland, I always want to go back to Bill's Tavern!! I love their oyster burgers! Delicious!!❤
My mom, husband and daughter all planned to go to the beach before school started. We had been to Cannon Beach years ago and enjoyed it. It was a quick isg trip back then the weather wasn't sunny. We went and gave ourselves plenty of time. I had searched places to eat because we planned to have lunch once we arrived. Bills had a lot more options for everyone and some of us who only like certain kinds of seafood. The guy was really nice and the food was pretty darn good. I would definitely recommend and I would eat there again.
