Been coming here for years until I moved away to Phoenix in 1999 then Austin in 2006. The food is always excellent and consistent which is very important. The wait may be a bit longer, but it's worth it. Some people just complain, but this is a very popular place for lunch and dinner. I'd love to go back there whenever I get a chance to! I'm now working and living in New England, over 2,000 miles away, I can't find anything like this! Enjoy while you are in El Paso!
Little Diner is the place to go for Gorditas. This hole-in-the-wall treats you right for prices, portions, and flavor. The Gorditas really are the star of the show, although other mains and sides are good as well. It's off the beaten path, but worth a visit!
The chips were crunchy, and the salsa has good flavor and spice. We tried the colorado, verde, barbacoa, and ground beef gorditas, and they were all tasty. (The gorditas were fried to a crunchy-chewy texture which was different from the more common softer/crumbly corn masa texture of other gorditas that I have had.) The salsa roja that they served on the side was dynamite!
The Gordita queen! There is something special about the maseca here. Flavorful, soft but perfectly crispy at every bite. Their traditional beef Gordita ferments their history going back to 1976. From the kitchen love of their grandparents, the little dinner passes down the passion. Great food !
Love the Gorditas and service. We also ordered corn tortillas to make quesadillas at home. They tasted great
Very good and reasonably priced. Tamales and gorditas were both 5/5. Only gave it 4 stars for the lackluster rice and beans. My advice-get the chips and salsa, skip the rice and beans, double your entree order. Definitely worth a try!
