BEST BOILING POT I'VE BEEN TO!!!
No other Cajun boiling pot comes close. Super great staff, great vibes, amazing food! One of my top favorite places to eat! Place also has a super cool Cajun style atmosphere.
Plookys has the BEST Cajun food around!!! The only thing that gets microwaved there is the bread duh. They do that every where nowadays tons of stuff gets microwaved, but a few episodes of Kitchen Nightmares later and you have common country folk with lap tops fancying themselves to be actual food critics lol!!! The shrimp and craw are BOILED. They have to be. You can't microwave a freakin crawfish?!?! Some people just aren't used to Cajun spices. If you can't handle the heat, stay out of our kitchen. If you wana try the best damn Cajun food around for over 14 years? Come on by!!!
Great food. Great atmosphere. Great people. It's a small unique place that's byob. Rember that. Nothing goes better with crawfish than cold beer.
Had the pound of shrimp boil, potato's were awesome, sausage, corn all great. All seasoned to perfection, usually add Cajun seasoning to everything, didn't need to, butter out of the squeeze bottle was killer!
Great place. We have been going to Plookys every since it opened and have found it great every time. We have frequently taken friends along, and everyone we have introduced to it has gone back on their own. If you like Cajun, you will love Plookys!!
Dream Come True. Last night was our first night at Plookys and tonight was our second night. It's that good. The crawfish are large with claw meat and the shrimp are fresh. We ate 4 lbs of crawfish last night and had shrimp, crawfish, boudin, and gumbo tonight.
Wonderful atmosphere and Todd and Kaci made us feel right at home. Butcher paper on the table is just perfect and the key lime pie is just the right finish for the meal
Todd has crawfish year around which is a wonderful treat. We'll be back for more soon. BTW, the website says 3-10 but hours are actually 3-9, closed Tue and Wed.

Ate there a few weeks back and was well pleased . It was awesome, great food, friendly staff and heading back tonight. Forgot BYOB last time but wont tonight

Great food!. The food & staff at Plooky's are both amazing! The staff is very attentive, friendly & down to earth. They make you feel like life-long friends your first visit. The food is superb! The food is always so fresh, & the style in which they serve by throwing it on the table makes the whole experience fun! I would recommend this to anyone & everyone!
This is like eating at your grandma's house. It's friendly, good food, and they seem to care about your experience. Plus, they just dump the food on your table like a Cajun seafood feast. You can even bring your own drinks or fresh fish and they'll cook that for you too!
The staff here is super friendly!!! The food is Cajun and off the charts!!! We drive from Austin just to get a full order of shrimp!!! This is by far my favorite restaurant when you eat here you'll feel like this food was sent from heaven!!!!
While staying in Canyon Lake area for the summer we wanted to try some good seafood. We love the Boiling Pot in Rockport and found this place just North of Hancock area of the lake. They've really spruced up the place since the last reviews 3 years ago. My husband and I got the Shrimp boil pot. We can eat and this filled us up! $22.95 for a pound of huge gulf shrimp, potatoes, sausage, corn and sourdough bread. We should've ordered the medium spice, my husband likes spicy but I can't take the heat. The key lime and banana pies were also delicious!! The staff (all family of the owner) is super friendly. They are open from 5-9 and it's byob. We will be going back!!
Anniversary dinner at Plooky's was amazing, they stayed open later just so we could have a wonderful sit down dinner and man did we eat!
We both had to work on our anniversary and this was an awesome way to end our day. Tod and Cameron made us feel like family and even gave us dessert to take home🥰

The story of this establishment is awesome. Todd lost his wife but is finding a way to move forward. This place has a great atmosphere and awesome food. The crawfish are to die for. Excellent service and they treat you like family here.
