Used to hang at the old Hanger in the 90's First time back and really Love the new Hanger. Clean and open. Great stage for music
Neat bar, with friendly service and pretty cool events. The drinks are pretty reasonably priced and I’ve enjoyed my experience both day drinking and attending events here.
The DJ was going crazy. If you like EDM slide there. Music changes but tonight was pretty dope.
This place always gives me warm fuzzy memories 💓 Great Vibes, Great People, Great events. Hope they stay around for a long time. Try the drink specials! The have some great ales.
Fun Karaoke nights and live music. Cheap soft drinks, if you don't drink alcohol, and free water usually provided.
I love the Hanger. They usually have a nice crowd and great acts. The bar tenders are friendly. I love their patio. This is definitely a place to hit while you are in town. If you haven't been since they built the new building, don't expect the same experience; Carbondale is not the same place it was 15-25 years ago and the new Hanger is no exception. Nostalgia aside, this is a great haunt.
Literally every time I come here I get charged a cover, but that's probably because I'm oblivious to when they charge. Not always crowded but it's a good place to hang out with friends
The old hanger was cool but it burned down. This place is neat inside, though kind of sterile, but outside it looks like a prison. They can't be blamed for the rest of the problems the town has which seem to be a lack of enrollment and the fact that kids seem to be lame now and never leave their apartment or dorm. I was there for an event last weekend and I kept having to remind myself that school was in session because the whole town was dead. Like a ghost town. Sad.
