We came with friends for dinner and had a great experience. Our waiter Matt was on point start to finish. The drink and food menus are modern with something for everyone. Our group started with a shrimp ceviche special appetizer (that was so creamy, light, fresh) and the grilled avocado with bacon jam (where have you been all my life?!) For entrees 3 of us had perfectly cooked steaks with various accompaniments (mashed potatoes, truffle fries, mushrooms, broccolini, truffle butter, and the real showstopper - house steak sauce.) The fourth in our group had the lamb. I don’t even like lamb but this was seriously delicious and tender without being too fatty or overpowering. The prices are right for the atmosphere and quality of food and service. Great drinks and wines were also enjoyed. We sadly did not leave room for dessert but we will be back!

We enjoyed our meal. The food was very well prepared and well seasoned, and the staff were all very helpful and friendly.
The cuts of meat are all high quality too, which is always nice to see. We definitely plan on coming back!
I had a fantastic steak dinner at KOL while on a work trip in Carbondale. The restaurant was slow that evening which is a shame because locals should be taking advantage of this downtown amenity!
Megan, the bartender at Kol, has always been wonderful to my coworkers and myself whenever we stop for a drink after work. The service is great, and the drinks are inventive and delicious. Kol also boasts one of the best liquor selections in the area. While I have not yet had food from Kol, those in the groups I often go with have remarked on it's great taste and quality.
Ate here 2 years ago for a Valentine’s Day special and it was nothing but amazing. The steaks were cooked to perfection and it came with a dessert (lava cake) that was to die for. It also was decorated at the time for our table in honor of the holiday and made the day/moment even more special for my girlfriend and I. The staff were so accommodating and kind to us. Nothing but good things to say about this place - craving to come here again!!! Please check it out!

Beautiful restaurant that has a solid 5 star look. The service was extremely professional and on point. The manager even came by to make sure everything was to our liking. He also told us, the history of the restaurant/ hotel and also of the town. For us that was very interesting. The menu has alot of good options depending on your price point. The steaks that they featured looks very tasty, but it will cost you a hefty price. My family (4) ordered the signature cheeseburger (2), another ordered their stuffed shrimp scampi and finally the salmon. The burgers was cooked to our liking (med) and was very good. You have a choice of fries and sweet potato fries. The stuffed shrimp scampi was ok, but I would've liked a more garlic flavor. The sauce was just a little bland but the stuffed shrimp was wonderful. The salmon was also ok, but it was small and the risotto had more flavor. I think with a little bit of different seasonings or side pairings. It would make the food a solid 5 star. Would I come again to eat, certainly with no hesitation.
