A magical surprise. Fantastic choices of ciders and wine with a few beer selections. The me u is small but delicious. Try the sliders or nachos! Was also there onMagiv Monday and we had a blast with Magician Kyle! His creative and fun approach was delightful. Would recommend to anyone passing thru Carlisle or need a great place to visit with tons of historical points in the town.
Beautiful design, great location, amazing employees and best of all... the food and drink are incredible. This is going to become my new Sunday hangout.
Went for the first time this weekend and loved it! Great selection of ciders! Even tried a craft soda (strawberry cream) and was excellent. Really enjoyed being able to get a flight of 6 samples since I wanted to try all 30 drinks on the menu. The pretzel sampler and cannoli dessert were both good snacks too. Highly recommend and will return.
The only negative which isn’t a big one at all.. is I felt you can’t come with a large group of people, most of the tables were for 2 people.
Love to come here for a flight when in Carlisle. Great variety of cider, wine and beer and always something new to try! Stephanie is awesome and always provides the best recommendations :-)
Just discovered Grand Illusion Hard Cider in Carlisle yesterday and loved it. Their own brand ciders are very good, plus they have some sodas. And other brands of cider and wines. I had the Sangria which was wonderful as well. Check them out, well worth the drive

Best place if you want a variety of PA made craft alcohol! And the food is perfect for either a meal or a “snack”.
I visited Grand Illusion on a Monday night. The charcuterie board was excellent, with a good variety of meats and cheeses. I sampled all of their in- house ciders, and they were all very good. The Mystic Citra- Pineapple was my favorite. I'm looking forward to returning and sampling more of the menu. Also worth noting that they have an excellent in- house magician on Monday nights. Check this place out!
Honestly didn’t think a place like this in Carlisle would ever exist. Have loved cider for a long time, to have so many choices besides Angry Orchard is out of this world. Hoping for many years of prosperity for this awesome little place!
Went last night and had a chicken salad and shared a cheese platter over some brews, Dan and the bartender (can't remember her name sorry) took great care of us and even gave a tour of the whole facility after we ate. Definitely a recommendation and will be back to enjoy again soon. All around fantastic time.
We were walking by and noticed this place on our way to another... Well, we never made it to the other place. We got some flights of cider, a meat and cheese board and the cannoli chips, it was all excellent. We ended up staying at Grand Illusion the rest of the night! We are already taking about going back soon!

Absolutely loved my first visit to grand illusion. Our server Alexis K was very polite and my friends and I will certainly be back .
Great place for lunch, right downtown in Carlisle, two floors. They have a wide variety of ciders and other drinks to choose from. The blue illusion was great, perfect balance of flavors. They also did a delicious hot buttered rum cider. We had the grill cheese and brisket flat bread both excellent.

This hard to detect restaurant/escape room is a gem. Unfortunately, we had to start by parking in a lot and walking to the restaurant, as there was no parking available. Once we were inside though, we were delighted. We were greeted by live music and were taken upstairs to the upper seating. 2 of us had cider flights (6 each), and 3 of us had individual ciders. After trying every person's ciders, I could not believe how utterly impressed I was. I was not unhappy with a single one of them. They tasted amazing, it is no wonder they call themselves a cider place. The food was equally as good but a tad pricey. We started with an appetizer of the pretzel flight, where they give you 3 differently seasoned pretzels and 3 different sauces. (Best combo, Italian pretzel with garlic Parm sauce). I had the bbq chicken flatbread with cauliflower crust ($3.50 extra). It was perfectly filling, gave a good amount of meat, sauce, and cheese. Everything was perfectly proportioned, and I left neither feeling hungry nor overly stuffed. My mom got the same but with the regular crust and was equally happy. My dad got the brisket flatbread and scarfed it down, but it was lacking in the meat. He suggests asking for a side of peppers to add to it for extra flavor. My fiance got the brisket sandwich and said there was a lot of meat, and the beer cheese was an amazing addition. Our friend comes here every week and said she has tried everything on the menu and has never been disappointed. We ended the meal with the cannoli dessert, which could've used a few more chocolate chips but was unique and tasty overall. I can't wait to come back here and maybe even try an escape room next time.
Such a fun hangout spot. Whether you're looking to sample some wine/beer/cider/old fashioned soda OR you want a great meal, Grand Illusion is your spot. Bartender Alexandra was friendly, attentive, and accommodating. We had a great time!
Absolutely loved this place. If I lived closer, I'd probably go broke from hanging out there too much. The bartender was awesome. Very friendly & responsive. If you like ciders, this is a must try.

The cider selection was extensive, but the food in general was just ok. The charcuterie plate was unimaginative. But, the grilled cheese and soup I had were delicious. The customer service was very good. I’d recommend this place for a drink and light bite.
We happened to be passing through on a Monday. Other breweries were closed, so we went here. Awesome! Cool vibe, friendly staff, great selection of drinks. Have lots of their own stuff plus numerous guest taps. Also there is tableside magic on Mondays. The food is really good too.
Huge selection for a flight! You can mix sodas and wine as well! The sizes are huge. And I liked the live music!
