We had a delicious dinner at Tandem. We ordered several appetizers to share and loved every dish. The cauliflower, risotto, and beet and brussel sprout salad were amazing. It’s very vegetarian friendly. Reasonably priced. Excellent service. A new local favorite.

My husband and I had a fabulous meal here with my in-laws on Saturday night. The patio seating is spaced out and well lit, with scattered planters of fragrant basil. The appetizers were all wonderful, particularly the beet and cucumber salad, which was tangy and creamy and wonderfully blended. They use fruit in many of the dishes to surprising and spectacular effect. The entrees are all enormous portions, in the best way. I had the chicken, my MIL the lamb, and my husband and FIL the 72 hour short ribs. Service was fantastic. Incredibly recommended.

Visited this Tandem restaurant with relatives to wrap up our North Carolina, USA trip. Atmosphere, server were great. Food served in hot, which is very important. We ordered the 72 hours short ribs, and the curry salmon. The short ribs were nicely cooked, but too salty. The curry salmon tasted better than the short rib. Portion size were big, and we were all full. Overall 4 stars!!!

Fantastic food and vibe! Had the Butternut Squash Risotto, Joyce Farm Chicken, Roasted Salmon and Japanese Eggplant, which were all delicious.

Can’t believe after all these years I haven’t reviewed Tandem. Year after year their food & service is wonderful. Even now in 2021 they manage to provide delicious meals and staff is attentive. Tandem is always a solid choice for dining out.

I had a great experience at Tandem. A buddy and I grabbed a seat at the bar for our meal, but could have been seated inside or outside at a table if we wanted. For the middle of the week Tandem had a nice crowd but was not overly packed. We shared the steak and ribs for 2 and grabbed a few beers. The steak was prepared medium and cooked to perfection. The ribs were excellently seasoned and cooked as well. We struggled to finish both of them and all of the sides. We're not small men so the portions were a good amount I would say. I'll definitely be back as this was my first time.

One of Chapel Hills finest restaurants. It has plenty of outdoor seating, in appropriate weather, and a lovely calm ambiance inside. The menu is eclectic with something for adventurous and simple eaters. The cocktail list is basic but the wine list is quite nice. For a special dinner, this is a best bet.
