Quality was very good. Unfortunately, they were shorted staffed and even on a Thurs night, it took a long while for food to come out. Sushi was ready and sitting for at least 10min before it was brought to the table with the Udon soup, which was too hot to eat right away. Staff was very kind and apologetic for the long wait.
Good sushi and hard to find Japanese dishes at reasonable prices.
It's also one of the only places in town that does Zaru ( cold) Soba and ochizuke
Absolutely awesome food, authentic Japanese, you dont see it on the menu ask , very talented sushi chefs , made exactly what I wanted and also helped with my pick ! I ate most before taking a picture, presentation was nice
I haven't found a Japanese restaurant as good as this in RTP 😭 the udon was so good. My friend and I also ordered tofu appetizer and shrimp tempura and they were perfectionnnn! Will def come here for the intimate and authentic Japanese vibes 💖
I may have reviewed years ago but just an update: the food is as good as ever and the service has improved as well. Most authentic Japanese food in the area, my family lived in Japan for years and we all enjoy coming here to eat and enjoy the ambiance. Definitely stop by if you enjoy Japanese cuisine and sushi. The sushi is always fresh and delicious no matter the time of day.
My first time eating from here. I did take out: ordered through the online menu and had it delivered to my car. The app prompts for a tip. I did double crab in the Kahuna bowl. I liked that while I was driving to the location I received a text that my order was ready, ten minutes before it was supposed to be. Could have been because they close at 2 pm and reopen at 5 pm. My order was placed shortly after 1 pm. After following google maps meticulously and not being able to find Poke Republic, I called the location. They answered the phone “Kashin”, which the sign outside the building reads but google maps has it labeled “Poke Republic”. So just be aware if you travel to the location you’re looking for a Kashin.

Great local Japanese Restaurant with a variety of menu choices. The Kashin and Yokohama sushi rolls paired with an Asahi were both enjoyable, however, the latter was slightly tougher compared to what I expected which would be my only minor complaint with the food. Overall, I would highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking to enjoy an enjoyable and affordable night out and look forward to returning myself.
Took a little longer than expected to get a table, but once seated service was excellent. Some of the food was a little light on flavor. I don't know if this is the traditional preparation, but it tasted bland. Most of what was ordered was very good.
