Today I redeemed my birthday reward, and a young woman working the drive through around 8 pm on 1/10/22 very excitedly told me happy birthday. It was so sweet that she took even just a few moments to say happy birthday, and it really made my day so much better, as I've been dealing with a lot of personal stress. Even though our interaction was brief, she definitely put a smile on my face!

On occasion I will try an old American fast food chain just to see what the hell is going on. This McDonald's in Castro valley, was pretty much exactly like every other mcdonald's, which is to say, the dream of its founder Roy Kroc, and that the hamburger, fries, and Coke tasted exactly like the hamburger, fries, and Coke that I bought on the East Coast 10 years ago. Generic, predictable, yet satisfying. My waistline will pay the price later.
