Amazing food! Machaca breakfast, bean and cheese burrito, corn tortillas, all of it so delicious. Some of the best I've ever had. And the service was great. She was friendly, helpful, and got the perfect balance of being attentive without being too attentive. Coming back tonight for dinner!
Also some of the prettiest plating I've seen in a Mexican restaurant.
This simple clean airy Restsurant & Bar serves some of the best food in the County. Today I tried the Pozole. I was pleasantly surprised by the fresh clean taste of the corn and light gravy. All the flavors blended perfectly with a slightly tangy taste because of the nice fat slice of lemon. It was such a delight savoring this simple dish. The shrimp ceviche was totally off the hook. You have to try this spot.
Hands down one of the best Mexican breakfast I've had. We got the chilaquiles, machaca, huevos rancheros, and bean and cheese burrito.
The chilaquiles was easily the best any of us had ever had. The tortillas were perfect and the sauce had a lot of depth.
The machaca was the best I've ever had. The eggs were perfectly scrambled and the meat was flavorful and moist.
The huevos rancheros was fantastic. Again the eggs were cooked perfectly and the sauce had a wonderful complexity.
The corn tortillas are handmade and delicious and the bean burrito was phenomenal.
Last of all the waitress was super friendly!
Highly recommend this place.
We have been coming to Alfonso's for many years. Not only do they have the most delicious Mexican food. The owners always come by and talk to you by name. The wait staff has excellent customer service. They are now doing Italian food on Fridays. It is also delicious. We will be going back for many years.
Amazing food. The fried avocado is luscious. The michelada was immense.
Best Mexican food I've ever had. Great selection, generous portions, very fresh and great tasting food. Their homemade corn tortillas are to die for. Highly recommend!
Really nice food, the complimentary nachos were fresh & amazing, as a vegetarian enjoyed the food despite a limited selection. The sauces were fresh and rich in flavour
Horrible weekend with tourist restaurant food in wharf area. Had to come back to comfort food for flavor.
Chose this place and glad we did. Friendly staff and clean restroom for the germaphobes. Quick order and food.
Pozole was delicious as well as the salsa.
Chicken verde enchilada was good as well. Refried beans also great alone or with chips.
All around good food. Would recommend if need some flavorful Mexican food after a trip to Monterey Bay where food is overpriced and bland. Expensive does not equal good. This place is good.
