There is parking at the restaurant as well as street parking. Indoor and outdoor seating available.
Open kitchen, so you can see the chefs doing the magic. Also a full bar available.
A large selection of drinks available. I skipped drinks this time around.
Steamed chicken dumplings: you can choose if you want steamed or fried. The flavor was a bit lacking, but the sauce helped make up for it.
Let’s roll out sushi: tasted very fresh and the flavor was on point. Even though the salmon was semi raw, it didn’t have a weird texture. (This is coming from someone who typically doesn’t enjoy any amount of raw sushi)
Basil fried rice: would skip. Kinda bland and the chicken was dry.
I’ve had the ramen from a previous visit and it was delicious - would probably opt for that instead of the rice.
Service was a bit slow, our water was never refilled.
Cute place to grab a beer or two though if you are in the area. Super close to Chinatown!
Pretty good food and service. Came on a Friday night so it was a little busy and it took some time for us to get our orders in, but our server was super nice and helpful. I had the Thai steak salad and it wasn't bad. Strawberry sake was really good.Parking wasn't an issue at all.
Excellent staff, great food, good vibes. All around a good experience on Tuna Thursday at hopstix for a friends birthday. Definitely recommend this spot for fusion Asian cuisine!
Great for large parties of 15-20 but definitely make a reservation because this place fills up quick.
Attentive waitstaff, hearty food, great variety of drink selections and food options too! The atmosphere was hip so it made for a fun dining experience.
I like the range of Asian/fusion dishes the menu features. With the sushi, ramen, fried rice, skewers, baos, etc etc there's a dish to fit anyone's preference. The beers are tasty and brewed in house and I recommend the rice lager! Also a huge bonus is that Hopstix is dog friendly and even brings out water bowls for your furry friends. Parking is a bit limited so you may need to opt for street parking if you're there at a busier time.
Their miso ramen is easily the best ramen you'll find in Atlanta. And I've tried a number of different spots! The broth has just the right amount of flavor and it comes with a hard boiled (borderline soft boiled) egg in it, also with delicious flavor. But the standout is the skewer of pork belly. It is literally melt in your mouth. It's like, meat butter... It totally makes the dish! It's a serving size that I can rarely finish so it will definitely fill you up. Their beer selection here is great and apparently the burger (of all things?!) deserved an honorable mention as their "little secret" as everyone that sat near me that ordered it raved about it. I'm gonna have to try this one next time!
Wow what a great place to both eat and hang out!
The restaurant architecture is hip. There is both inside and outside seating with nice open spaces. On the inside there is a nice size bar and open kitchen where you can see the chef's at work. Note because of that it can get a bit warm if you're seated in front of it, so chose the other side or back. As for accessibility the doorways, table spaces and bathroom access were accommodating. Parking is very tight, you can park across the street just note the signs where you can't park or you'll be towed.
Now for the food! OMG! We ate tapas style where we ordered and shared as much as we could eat across the menu. From the Robata Grill we had the lamb and miso duck breast. Honestly I don't have words for how delicious both were but the duck and its presentation were amazing and the better of the two.
From the Raw Bar we ordered Bluefin Tuna, Madai Red Snapper, Tuna Tartare, Kamikaze and from the summer menu the Rainbow Spring roll and Larb Lettuce Wrap. Again, the presentations for all were amazingly prepared and presented.
The sushi was very fresh, tuna had the right deep red color and the snapper was the freshest I've ever had - I've eaten sushi in Japan and many other great places in this world and this place is right up there!
One of my favorite things to order is tuna tartare but not every place "gets it right". I have to say this place has the best I've ever had. Ever. The right mix of herb and other flavors and of course the tuna quality. The sushi rolls were also delicious and had great flavors and freshness in every bite.
I'm not a fan of the lettuce wraps in general but if you like them I'd say you'd like theirs, had good texture and spices along with fresh lettuce.
The service was amazing. The server covered our table and every request quickly. The food came amazingly fast, we ordered tapas style and every order appeared in minutes, it was like our dish was already sitting waiting on us to order.
Would I go back? OMG, ahhh yah!! Everyday if I could!
We can't get enough of Hopstix! Always an amazing meal and wonderful time. Their beers are delicious, their food is unique and scrumptious, and the service is always excellent. We try to branch out and try new menu items each time we visit, and have loved everything we've ordered to date. Some of our favorites are the Thai Basil fried rice, the Kamikaze and Let's Roll Out sushi rolls, and the steamed dumplings. We just ate there last night, and I'm already looking forward to our next visit!
