They have restrooms for paying customers. The food was delicious and not too pricey.
It would be nice, if they had delivery service, but that might break some poor students tiny banks ...
Anyway, this place is pretty good for groups as well. Keep on rocking the sushi game guys and gals!
We walked in on a Friday night and were greeted right away. Ordered for takeout, got a mix of regular to specialty rolls. Received our food within 15 minutes of ordering (there was only 1 other party there). Prices were fair, and the service was quick and friendly. They offered us water even though we were waiting at the front. Food was very good! 2 rolls were labeled spicy that were only very slightly spicy, only downside.
It's good but definitely overpriced. I won't go here unless there's a good hooked deal haha. I had to katsu curry (15 bucks, yikes) and it was good but not worth 15 bucks. I think it'll be a great place to eat when you have deals for the sushi- I have yet to try it tho. Ppl say they like it.
The service was great though, staff was very freindly :)!
Their food isn't luxurious, that would be Sakanaya down the road. However, for their value their sushi is the best around. They don't have the best presentation, as I ordered a ramen and all the pretty stuff was at the bottom, but if you're looking for tasty food over tasty looking, Sushi Rock is down your alley.
Never a bad experience here (except for the time when a group of rowdy guys came in and started doing...sake bombs??? At a sushi place? Why? Oh well.)
Sushi is medium priced. Not too expensive but not exactly cheap if you want anything non-basic. It is sushi after all.
The teriyaki chicken bento boxes are good too especially for lunch. And the miso soup is great.
If you want a dessert, the green tea ice cream mochi is good.
Price idea:
Drink, appetizer, two deluxe sushi rolls, and a dessert is $31 plus tip.
I'll miss this place when I go to grad school.
Really good sushi and udon restaurant. Staff was exceptional and very courteous. They executed a special request about ingredients preparation on a busy lunch time. Food was excellent and it was truly a great value and surprise find at U of I.
The food tastes nice. One star less because, well, the sushi doesn't rock. Comparing the prices, nearby Sakanaya's sushi is much better.
Food is really good, although sometimes they run out of certain menu items. The service is amazing. Bento boxes and sushi are a must get.
Really good food with a huge selection. They really do their seafood/sushi very well. Excellent service at a very reasonable price.
They make really delicious sushi and overall prices are acceptable!
Try the Dragon Roll, absolutely my favorite! I ordered it each time!
Good sushi at reasonable prices. Simple rolls (e.g., tuna) are eight pieces for $6-7, while the "signature" rolls with multiple ingredients are more expensive.
Great for both sushi lovers and non sushi lovers. Only draw back is no parking on the street so have to find places to park.
The sushi was delicious and the price was reasonable. Good place for a nice relaxed romantic date with good service
Very good restaurant with good service. Not too expensive for sushi and ramen is superb.
This is a great place to grab a lunch or dinner. Each time I'm there, I enjoy the meal!
