Very pleasently surprised by this place. One of the few places in Charleston with a great view of the water! They had a Cuban as a special and it was one of the best I’ve had. Service was good.
Excuse the dinner action shots.
Had a great breakfast. Crab cake Benedict and shrimp and grits with gator was so well cooked. Gator was soft and delicious. They also validated our parking pass.
First time at Marina Restaurant. In Charleston to visit college Sorority Sisters. We had Saturday Brunch. The restaurant is small but cozy.
Unassuming restaurant with great friendly young staff and delicious southern foods. Awesome prices for such good food. Will definitely repeat and try breakfast. Paid parking is validated!

Genuine low country food at a reasonable price! The location is great because it's at a marina. Try the Holy City beer. It was very refreshing. The bar below the restaurant looked a little rough, but it didn't really affect the experience.

Small place, fantastic view. The coffee was solid but the bear island shrimp and grits were really good. It is a really laid back atmosphere and worth the trip by. Thanks for the great view and amazing breakfast!!
1st time here, and we went two-day in a row for our breakfast meal. The food is hometown cooking and well prepared. Service is slow, but worth the wait. We enjoyed both meals. Each meal was different and I assume that is because there was a cook preparing the food each day. They need to work on service as the servers definitely don't pay is attention to their tables closely. Outside of that great place.
Recommend for sure
Just got off the plane and made a mad dash to see the sunset. That landed
Us at the Safe Harbor /Salty Mike's - Marina Variety Store Restaurant. We ordered the shrimp and grits with collard greens, thin sliced green fried tomatoes, and toast. The Shrimp & grits were bit salty, but overall all .... very tasty. Our waitress was fast and cheerful. ***Beware, the cinnamon buns are soooooo sinfully GOOD!
Thank you ....for a very nice experience!
We carried out for breakfast and it was so good! The biscuits and gravy with fried chicken on top was my favorite. The gravy is very flavorful and the chicken was perfectly fried. Prices are extremely reasonable for the portions and everything was hot and fresh. We’ll be back!
Great location! Beautiful view of the marina and surroundings. Fortunately they even had a vegetarian option, the veggie wrap and black bean soup. All in group enjoyed their seafood platters. After dinner walk around the marina and see the stunning boats and enjoy the sunset.
Saw them on dinner's, drive-ins and dives. Great food, harbor view. We had a veggie plate and shrimp po-boy for lunch. The wait was about 15 minutes on a Wednesday.
I was in Charleston for four days. This was my favorite restaurant. This is the only place we ate at twice.
Cool spot with neat views. Service was great. Food was pretty good. I had a special which was crab and sweet potato hash with flounder and eggs. It was pretty good. My husband's country fried steak was better.
I'd definitely come back.
Whomever was cooking the day we went was def in their element! I’ve never had shrimp that good! We got the alligator and the boys scarfed it down with no issues. The side salads were impressive bc they use a mix of leafy greens for the base. The staff there was amazingly sweet as well! And the view was perfect for the end of a daycation beach trip without a reservation. This was an amazing find. I’ll definitely be returning!

I only ordered the Coconut Shrimp and a Mexican coffee but I was able to try my friends food. The smoked fish dip was good with saltine crackers and the shrimp and grits with fried green stuffed tomatoes was good.
One of my all time favorite breakfast spots in the Charleston restaurant scene. If you want a great breakfast to experience in Charleston - this is definitely a must go to on your trip if you’re not local.
A delightful staff with warming Southern charm, gorgeous views of the marsh and ocean in the harbor inlet, and an absolutely killer menu!
Every dish is made with love that will ignite your palate and deliver joy.
My favorite breakfast item is the Lowcountry Hashbrowns. Adding sausage in addition to the shrimp that comes with it is killer combination.
Coffee is always ready and is a very solid brew.
The lunch and dinner menus are always great and worth the trip as well. You can catch a sunset view in the booths on the left side in the evening.
Parking is validated so make sure to bring in your parking ticket.

Good food and the wait staff is very friendly. Portions are a bit small, but well prepared and flavorful. Be warned, state tax here is 11 1/2%!!!! A $28 bill had $6.34 in taxes which was more than the $5.00 desert.
Overall nice views of the water and nearby boats and we enjoyed the visit.
