This is a terrific bar. Manager Dave and the wait staff were welcoming and hospitable to my group of visitors, so much so that we went both nights we were in town for the Gildan Classic. Appetizers and food were excellent and hot. Maybe the best Cuban sandwich I ever had. Bartender mixed special request drinks with jalapeños retrieved from the kitchen. A definite go to and hang place in Charleston.
I had a great experience. I went for lunch later in the day and, although it was busy, service was fantastic. I sat at the bar and had a Cuban sandwich. A friend of mine had a burger and she also raved about it. I highly recommend this place.. The bread, meats and pickle on the Cuban were all perfectly paired together. Sometimes Cuban sandwiches can be a little salty, this was perfect. Definitely will return when I am in town again.
First place we went in Charleston and had a great time! Atmosphere and music was great. Very relaxing and staff was very friendly. Dave was a wonderful host. Tot-chos and the holy City pecan dream porter beer we're great!

Charleston Beer Works was the Place we chose to hang out after dinner and we weren’t disappointed!!! Not only was there a great beer selection but the band was fantastic and Dave, the bartender, was outstanding! He made us feel welcome and chatted with us for quite some time! I’d DEFINITELY recommend this place to anyone at any age!!!
I’m currently at the outdoor bar with bartender Dave! We deeply enjoyed the music and Dave’s commentary. The tuna taco appetizer is to die for!!! Also try Beerworks beer!
Great place to get a drink if you’re visiting the area, located right in the heart of downtown. Fun bar with lots of local beers on tap and great service. If you get the chance to go, definitely look for Dave the bartender!
Awesome! We watched playoff hockey, sound on. The garlic parm wings were on point! Dave hooked me up with flats only.
Dave and Matt are top notch!! I’m a bartender of 11 years, customer service is my life, they took such wonderful care of our birthday party!!! Food was awesome, drinks were even better!! We felt like family � Anytime we visit Charleston, this will be our first stop, and probably last too.
It's about time that I write a review about Charleston Beer Works since I've been here several times over the past few months.
Bottom line is that it is an outstanding bar with a wide breadth of beers, a very attentive staff that know how to make great mixed drinks and let's not forget the wonderful and delicious food that they serve. Pro tip.....their wings are OUTRAGEOUS!
In addition to the food and drinks a massive plus is that they basically have ANY game you're looking to watch. I'm originally from the Northeast and absolutely love hockey. As you can imagine, it can be hard to go out and find a place that has a hockey package in Charleston. Not here, just ask Dave to pop on a game and voilà you're watching your favorite team and enjoying excellent service, food and drink.
Come on out to the Beer Works, you won't regret it!

Charleston Beer Works was the best place we have ate in Charleston in a long time! We visit Charleston frequently and the food and the service was, hands down, the best in the city! Dave, the bartender, made the experience A+++, he was very knowledgeable and so very helpful and friendly! He went above and beyond to make everything perfect! The pimento cheese was sooo good! They definitely should sell it to-go! The Arrogant burger with fries and the Cackalacky Cuban was soooo amazing! The drinks were perfect! There wasn't a single thing I would change about this amazing restaurant!
Amazing place!! Service was awesome!! We had the best bartender. Dave, I think, he was hilarious and convinced us to come back for bingo upstairs. What a fantastic time we had!!

Great casual brewery at the heart of the city action. Great local beers on tap! Blueberry wheat and pineapple IPA were the winners for us! Boiled peanuts and pretzels with beer cheese...yum
Want to watch a game, have great drinks & food, with great service, then you're at the right spot. I happen to come in during the day time, and the staff were great. Maury made the drinks just right, while Stephanie provided excellent service, and Swany cooked the food to perfection. I'm upset I didn't take better photos.

Visited this spot after arriving late on a Thursday night. The owner was very friendly and welcoming and the beer selection was great. Decided to take another trip back to try their food and would definitely recommend their wings. The hot garlic is very flavorful with a tiny kick.

This place is a gem...Maury the bartender is on point. Nate who cooks there will amaze you... This Monday night duo is a must see in Charleston. The personality and taste they deliver is worth the trip. I had a bad day before coming to this spot and within a few minutes the conversation mixed with fast service and perfect cooking changed my day. They helped with suggestions and information on traveling Charleston. They are a must on your visit...
Stopped in for a beer for our delayed flight. Wish we had came here first, our server Tanea was bubbly, outgoing and made our delayed flight wait time that much easier. Excellent service. Will definitely stop In again

Great sports bar, awesome staff, loud music and surprisingly good bar food. Loretta our young server was so great, the place was packed and she was the only one working and for 19, this young girl killed it and had a great attitude. We had the wings, Mac and cheese balls and the tuna and sirloin tacos, all yummy. Plus they have loads of local and import draft beers to choose from. Don't expect to find anything healthy here but you will find fun and good beer!!!
Enjoyed a packed house on a Sunday gameday. Great bar food and service. We were traveling from TN, and the staff accommodated us by changing the channel of the TV nearest to us to the Titans game. Lots of great drink and appetizer specials. Will definitely go back next time we're in Charleston.
