Best Taco joint in West Ashley by a large margin. Clean, great staff, and excellent food. All of the Tacos I've tried have been really good and they are very consistent.
Excellent food and customer service. The staff and ownership always take good care of me! I highly recommend The Taco Spot.
Quick service and awesome food
We ordered and our food came out in what seemed like seconds! Water filled before it was even close to empty. We very extremely pleased after a 12 hour drive to have such great service.
Used to go here when i lived in Charleston years ago and it was still a tiny little walk up counter and 2 tables in the back. It’s grown a lot and i Visit everytime i go back to charleston. My favorite place
These are the best tacos I've ever had! Every time we come to Charleston we stop at the taco spot!
Yummy food In a small cozy setting. The service from the bartender was great, the prices were good and my taco was delish.
I’ll be back!
We stop by today for the first time and service was perfect. Our bartender performed double duty making our tacos. He even removed the cilantro:) Prices are great and nice selection of different menu items.
Great food and service! These guys have a great place!!
Stopped at the Taco Spot on our journey through Chareslton , SC. What an amazing spot for some great Mexican food! We loved it & recommend this ! -The Floridians

This was my first time coming here and I so loved their Sweet Thai taco... It was the best taco ever... Omg this is my new favorite spot to get tacos.
This place had some really creative options. Service was great and prices are very reasonable. I’ll be back and next time I’m gonna try one of each:)
Love this place. Definitely try their original fish Taco, but everything on the menu is tasty.
Took my children for a quick bite after church and found this cute little restaurant off of Ashley River Road. I guess I always find the Perfect time to go to these restaurants but it was not that much ppl in, which to me is perfect for me and my hungry children. The bartender referred me to have the delicious blackened tacos which was amazing. Wait. Did I mention the food came out in less than 10mins?? My son ordered a steak taco and by the way ate it all. Him eating a whole taco meant that it was impeccable because he's not a taco eater and my daughter ate her steak quesadilla by herself! They have house guacamole and salsa that was amazing!! The only thing I was disappointed with was the fact that the soft taco was not warm or at least placed on a griddle. It was almost as if they just got it out of the bag. Overall, food was AMAZING'
The only bad part of this place is the parking lot. Love the menu, and they frequently try new things. We've never had a bad experience or bad taco in 2 years of visits. Service is great. Seating offers opportunity to watch the kitchen and see your tacos get made.
Everything is delicious! We have tried something new each visit and never leave disappointed. I personally like that any taco can be made into a generous salad (their blackened fish=YUM!!) and my husband is crazy about the breakfast tacos served at any time. Service is also always friendly and fast!
Best place to get a burrito in town. Tons of variety there is so much to choose from. the food is prepared quick and tastes amazing, great customer service, great staff and great food.
Excellent food!! Good prices. Friendly staff that is passionate about customer service.
Beats the heck out of Taco Boy!!
AWESOME!. These are the best fish tacos we have had in Charleston! We tried both the hard shell and soft shell. They are both excellent in different ways.Their burritos are big and flavorful. They taste like they were made with natural food and spices, then they are wrapped in a yummy, warm, tender tortilla. Their food doesn't have that chemical salty taste. I liked the interior too; we sat at the taco bar. Very Cool. I wish these guys success. They appear to be working hard to make their customer happy, and full too!
Excellent. Fresh ingredients, phenomenal food, friendly staff. very impressed by our first time visit today. we will definitely be back.
Taco spot is amazing. i eat 2, sometimes 3 fish tacos, and get so full. service is great, food is great and it's a cool place to be.
Good local business. The Queso was the best I've ever tried but in a small portion. The tacos were great and excellent price. The salsa was awful. I'd go back but skip the salsa.

This place looked like a maybe when we pulled up, once the food arrived I can say I was so so so glad we stopped! We will dine with The Taco Spot every time We are in Charleston.
Great Food, Great Prices. Great Food and Great Prices, especially if you hit them up during their happy hour.
Their food is way better than Mex 1 down the street. It also isn't weighed down with tons of fattening sauce like Mex 1.
Their lay out isn't really set up for a lot of interaction with the staff, which is fine by me, but I sometimes feel like I'm hassling their staff when I order a taco. I wish the staff was as happy to take my order as I am to eat one of their delicious dishes.
I tried this place for the first time yesterday. It was so great I came back again today for lunch! The combinations are very creative and everything is very well seasoned. My favorites so far are the meat the potatoes and the teriyaki steak experience. So cheap and so tasty!!!
Cute little place with excellent fresh ingredients and a friendly staff. Normally, I'm not a fan of cheddar on a taco, but they make it work. Dee-lish!
First time. Fantastic, definitely coming back more than once a week.

Oh so very yummy!. I eat at the taco spot at least once a week -- It is dependably great and the burrito's are an especially good deal... a nice affordable filling meal when you are really hungry -- so fresh and wholesome! My kids are picky eaters and they love the taco spot too! The tacos and salads are perfect when you want something lighter - and when you eat in, the sauce bar is amazing... so many choices! love love love the food here - a long time favorite! :) thanks for rocking our lunch world taco spot!!
Great Gluten-Free Option!. My 2 children and I ate lunch there today. We are gluten-free and were a little concerned about cross-contamination. Both individuals were very accommodating. The whole menu is practically gluten-free (except burritos) and it doesn't seem that there is wide margin for cross contamination. We thoroughly enjoyed our tacos, me most of all. I got the grouper. I am not a fish person and have never gotten a fish taco before but it was awesome. No fishy taste whatsoever. The kids just got the ground beef but enjoyed theirs as well. None of us suffered any reactions (which we do with the slightest bit of contamination) and we will definitely eat there again.
Good Fish Tacos. Great fish tacos, like the simplicity.
Service could be better by not being so impersonal.
AMAZING FISH TACOS. Fish tacos are definitely the star here. I love the regular fish taco - light and mild with a delicious cilantro soy aioli. They are so tasty, I dream about them!
No mystery I love these laid back places! This is the best Birria I’ve had in town and they have Pacifico!!! Wife ordered a house margarita and it tasted fresh made with actual limes. Staff, atmosphere and playlist was awesome. Will definitely turn into a weekly spot for us.
The staff was very very friendly, and helpful. Double-checked on a allergy item. And really knew the menu I had heard good things about them and I am please to report that they lived up to the hype.
Awesome local place. You have to come get queso and some guacamole. The staff is awesome so say hi to Kayce, Elizabeth, Farisha, or Len. It's the anchor of the neighborhood for 10+ yrs.
Great small place find. I was full from two tacos. The blackened fish taco was unique with a mixture of sauce and fish. I had a local beer. And since I had one taco left, you will be given a classic brown paper bag to go. While i was there there seem to be a lot of business people on their lunch break.
Kyle was a great host. The burrito was amazing, we had a great experience. Asked for sweet tea, got SWEET tea. Loved everything, already planning a return trip
My husband and I have been coming to Taco Bartina since before it was Taco Bartina…when it was the Taco Spot. I have tried just about everything on the menu & everything is fantastic. The food is always served quickly and is always delicious. As for the service…I give it an A+. We are greeted the minute we walk in & never wait for a refill or another cocktail. Lynn is my favorite bartender in CHS, his energy is unmatched. If you’re thinking of trying Taco Bartina, do it, you will not be disappointed.
This place is a Gem! The owner, and staff were very helpful, personable and fun. Food was great and portions & prices were great also.
Margarita was absolutely delicious as well! Resteraunt was very clean & inviting.
We are from Ohio & will definitely return next time we visit SC.
Dillon, Jason & the other waiter which we didnt get his name were all outstanding!!! 🌮🍹🍺
Thursday is $5 burrito day! Had a wonderful meal and the new addition construction doesn’t take away from the charm. Always love coming here with some great people who work there too
We try come here every time we visit Charleston, it’s great! It’s also been fun seeing the evolution over the years, it’s a beautiful establishment with wonderful food that’s clearly had a lot of love put into it. We first knew it as the Taco Spot, so we panicked when the name changed and we thought it closed. The staff are very friendly. We will be returning, like we always do! 🌮
Appetizer: The chips were refried for crispiness. The salsa was excellent. The avocado was chunky. The white cheese was great.
Main course: Street tacos. The meats had great texture;tender, but lack flavor/bland. Should offer salsa as standard topping. Salad was good. Beef was flavorful.
5 stars for customer service.
Great food! Wonderful service and nice and roomy! A little expensive but that’s understandable with the economy the way it is! I wish more restaurants gave more effort into there costumers and quality of there food like this place does! I will be back again!
We just love this place. We have been going there for a few years now. The food is great. The service is great. They've expanded & the music playing is always good.
Enjoy people..... enjoy!
The Taco Spot is a small establishment, part of a strip mall, and easy to miss due to the traffic pattern in Charleston.
If you are in the mood for tacos, the menu has a great mixture of traditional flavors and some original recipes known as “Dealer’s Choice.” They have a bar as well, but I only experienced the food. The steak was well-flavored and paired very nicely with the house salsa. The blackened chicken was delicious as well with just the right amount of kick.
Take the time to read the front of the menu. I appreciated the origin story, and it inspired me to hear another business owner’s success story.
The Taco Spot is not a “can’t miss” destination when visiting Charleston, but it is very good to satisfy a Mexican craving!
I just went in a couple of hours ago and the staff was super friendly! Had great suggestions for my taste buds! The food was hot, inventive, and presented very well! I’ll be back!
They did a good job with the renovation. It’s nice that they can accommodate larger groups more easily.
I would stick with the Mexican food and not go the burger route. Enjoyed the blackened chicken taco over the roasted chicken. They have pretty good fries as well. I’d go for the spicy ones over the seasoned option next time.
