This place is good for a quick morning bite! Highly recommend the breakfast burrito and cinnamon toast crunch latte. We didn’t care for the french toast. The texture and taste was like a blueberry muffin.
The water at this brunch spot is some of the freshest I've ever had. It's ice cold and crisp, with no hint of chlorine or other impurities. The water is served in a clear glass, so you can see how clean and clear it is.
I've tried the water at a few other brunch spots, and it's always been a bit disappointing. The water is often warm or stale, and it can have a strange taste. But the water at this spot is always perfect.
I am not entirely positive, but I believe they use a decent water filter system and keep it stored in a sports cooler for quick and easy access while you're snacking on the delicious hot sauce they make in-house.
The water is also served at a perfect temperature. It's not too cold, and it's not too warm. It's just right and transfers from cup to mouth without causing a sharp cold shock, even in the humid blazing south Carolina heat.
I highly recommend the water at this brunch spot. It's the best water I've ever had, and it's the perfect way to start your brunch.
Also, the food was top notch and the staff was super friendly and knowledgeable about the ingredients in their dishes.
Yum! The hazelnut iced coffee was delicious and the hot sauce that comes with the burrito - YUM 🤌🏻 my husband got the standard hash and said It was good, but the full order is recommended for sharing or expect leftovers!
Funky place with delicious breakfast. My ham and brie cheese sandwich was perfectly made and yummy! Everyone was happy with their food.
Only a few tables indoors, but there is outdoor seating. They take no reservations. You order in line and then they bring the food. Very popular place, tucked in a cute neighborhood.
The half order of hash was huge and delicious, the bread is magical, and the bulgogi breakfast meal is huge and tasty. The vibes are great and the staff are friendly; we overheard them cut it up with a regular and also give great local recs to out-of-towners looking for lunch options. I only wish they had a location in Atlanta!
One of the best corner store breakfasts in Charleston. Don’t think I’ll ever find hash as good as this and the breakfast blt is on point. You will be sad if you miss it. Must go.
Despite many of the staff not being very pleasant or happy, this place is hands down the best breakfast joint I’ve ever been too. Shockingly large portions for the price and quality. I ordered three things and they knocked it out of the park. Fun and unique atmosphere as well.
Get just about anything but the fruity pebble pancake was the best I’ve had and the sourdough toast was everything I wanted and more.
Great neighborhood breakfast spot!! We went twice in one weekend! Our favorite items were the hash and the egg and cheese sandwich. Portion sizes were very generous for the price!
Such a fun breakfast hole in the wall! Once you find parking you’re good to go! We ordered the mimosa carafe, big meaty hash, and breakfast burrito. It was all to die for and outside seating was amazing. The staff was wonderful and there was plenty of outdoor or inside seating.
Can say confidently this is my favorite breakfast place in the world. Thoroughly enjoy all breakfast foods. Daps has some phenomenal breakfast sandwiches. The fruity pebble pancakes are the show stopper. 3 huge fluffy hotcakes with a hint of fruity pebbles. Always friendly service! Any time I’m in Charleston I will come here!
Daps is a great breakfast joint. My Pork Cake Sub was spectacular and my wife's B'Fast Bahn Mi was also really good. Order ahead because this place isn't fast food and parking around it is very limited.
Lovely spot and fabulous welcoming service. Food was ready quickly and delicious. We had Patty Melt, Regular Hash, Chickpea sandwich. All very tasty and good sized portions.
Coffee was great too and place was spaced out well and clean. Great vibe!
Great breakfast and friendly staff. Came on a Saturday morning around 11 am. The place doesn’t take reservations or call-aheads but the wait wasn’t long. You order at the counter and then your food gets added to the queue. You find your own seating but there are a good bit of places to sit. Room inside, tables outside, and further tables behind the wall hedge next door.
Food comes fast, in about 30 minutes. The music they play is nice, some not too loud indie music.
Food itself is delicious. Fruity pebble pancakes are never a miss. Always delicious.
Recommend this place for breakfast. 10/10.
The wait for a seat was kinda long and to get our food took a while but it tasted great and was large portions even had leftovers for the next day the service was nice and price was good would recommend to others. Whent back and tried the burger but this time without the egg an it was amazing and also tried the pancakes with footy pebbles super fire soft sweet and fresh love this place
Overall: Daps is definitely a spot that I'll be putting in my rotations from now on!
The good: The highlight is the creative and delicious food. My wife and I split the poutine and cinnamon toast crunch sticky bun, which were both fantastic in their own way. The poutine was loaded with gravy, cheese curds, and cheese sauce, and came with divine garlic bread. The sticky bun was sweet, indulgent, not-too-sticky, and was a nice compliment to the savory poutine. Plus the portion sizes are hefty; the two dishes were more than enough for both of us. Free coffee refills, and the staff was friendly. Prices are right for the portion sizes.
The not-so-good: Long, long wait time, but they did let us know ahead of time while in line. Plus, we came at peak brunch hour on a Sunday. Gets very busy with limited seating.
Food/drink: 9/10
Atmosphere: 9/10
Service: 9/10
So yummy! Staff was friendly and helped with menu selections. We both had some of the potato hash (lots of options and available additions) and split a fruity pebble pancake. You must try the garlic herb sourdough toast!
Happy to have found a new quick-stop breakfast-brunch in CHS. Laid back, intimate [seats maybe 12 tops, including bar seating] interior with two large adjacent exterior patios for overflow. Patios are pup-friendly; drinks, sweets, and merch are killer. Will be returning during my next visit to the city.
What can I say beyond it was freaking spectacular. 2 adults had pancakes putein and a breakfast burrito and every single one of them was absolutely awesome wouldn't come again no questions asked. $32
