We've been here 3 times now since moving to Charleston about 8 months ago. Each time has been a ton of fun. The live music is always great, the drinks are reasonably priced, and the bartenders were attentive. My only gripe is that I've been charged 2 different prices for the same drink about 20 minutes apart by separate bartenders. I'm not going to subtract a star for that but just be aware.
You should also know that this place is relatively crowded, even during COVID. There isn't much mask-wearing or social distancing, so if you're worried about catching COVID or are a higher-risk individual, this is probably not the place for you.
That said, Burn's Alley is my favorite dive-y place so far in Charleston and I can't see that changing anytime soon.
Though it's surroundings made us feel skeptical about finding anywhere at all divey, it did indeed deliver what we were looking for. Drinks were fairly priced and the crowd more relaxed than...anyone else in the surrounding area. Most importantly, they have skee ball, pinball, and a pool table, as every decent bar should.
One of my favorite bars in Charleston. If you're looking for an authentic dive, this is your spot. Great bar staff, and a great spot to catch some live music!
a fantastic hole in the wall bar! reminds me of my 20's.... bartender was super friendly and great drink deals. Not sure if I wanna walk out of there at night, but great location for day time drinking!
Great little bar for us locals, good happy hour and frequently has live music! It's tucked away, but worth a visit.
Great bar with great bartenders and awesome live music. If only the bouncers weren’t condescending and manipulative 🤷🏻♂️
Solid. Feels like the good old jam days.
Great live music, and always a good time.
