I never had Waffle House before I turned 30 and moved south (it was my first meal in Charleston, actually), but I absolutely love it and think the nickname “awful waffle” is so unfair. My go to is the pecan waffle and the hash brown bowl with sausage, egg and cheese, smothered. So satisfying and affordable. The atmosphere is a great low-key diner. This one is a little small, so you might have to wait for a table at peak times. Would love it also if the coffee was a little hotter 😉
We wanted the Waffle House experience while visiting Charleston, and this is the spot that Anthony Bourdain made famous in 2015. We were pleasantly surprised by how good the food was. The staff was great too.
Can't control the clientele, there were some interesting people there while we ate (9:30 pm). Staff were all friendly to us and our food was good, and also affordable.
This review is strictly based on Ebony and Ebony only. She's amazing. Her cooks, whom were not tony, sucked. Couldn't mark plates. The female had an attitude with ebony all night. I used to work here and wanted to hop back and help. Get ebony some decent help when tony isn't on the line.
I cannot speak fondly enough of this fine establishment. The employees are some of the kindest people to grace the Earth. It’s a beacon of hope for anyone and everyone. Thank the lord for this Waffle House.
This has got to be the best Waffle House ever. Everyone here is so kind and fun. Be nice to them and tip well! They deserve it!

On June 18th, even though the staff walked out on the in coming shift. The 2 ladies that was there did a awesome job. With the situation that was left. They were very friendly and the service was great. Even though I don't know their names I just want to thank them. We enjoyed our vacation in Charleston. The Lebby's

I watched this dude crush 12 different orders, while his waitresses called out other orders. He didn’t miss a beat, all off memory. We walked in while it was busy and no where to sit. He spoke us immediately and asked our order within a couple of minutes. Best service I’ve ever seen!

We go to a different Waffle House every Sunday for breakfast. This was our first time at this Waffle House. We came in at midnight, place was packed but the people working were moving quick! We got into a clean booth, friendly waitress took our order and immediately called it off, and we were eating in no time! Quick, attentive, and quality all in one place is hard to find. This is our new favorite Waffle House!
I can't visit the South and miss the Waffle House experience. My server - Mojo - was as sweet as they come, as were the other hostesses. The food was good too. But the highlight had to be the hostess calling me sug, as in sugar! Good times!
I ordered my food. Went to the restroom. Came back it was done. The girls treat you like family.
LaKiesha did amazing job taking care of us. The food was fresh and they got us in and out so fast. 5 star Waffle House they are amazing!!
This was by far one of the best experiences that I've had at a diner in a long time. Whitney, Aqua, Precious, and Mike were awesome and made some delicious food!
