Yum. The food is really delicious. They have many different options that most mexican joints don't have. My husband ordered the four grilled tacos and loved it. He was able to choose four different meats. My burrito was declicious. It's a new neighborhood find that we'll be revisiting over and over again. Thanks Rio Grande!
Shake your Moroccas hombres y mujeres. Because this place is great for Mexican food. While it is still a "fast food" mexican restaurant like La Ha, Los Arcos, and Senor Teqs, it has slightly better quality food and some better options. This is my go-to spot for anything Mexican at a decent price. Carnitas are great, and they have good salsa if you ask for the spicier kind. The staff is also very attentive and it is pretty laid-back inside. Check it out honky.
This is very close to authentic Mexican cuisine. There is no buffet, so you know they are profiting on quality, not quantity.
Never a bad meal.... I've never had a bad meal here. Be sure to ask your server for the spicy salsa. You'll get 3 or 4 fresh made salsas. Some are more spicy than others, but all are good. (Included with the meal) Staff is very friendly.
Carnitas. Second best Mexican in Charleston area. The carnitas best in town, Santi's isn't this consistent. La Nortena is slightly better, but not by much.

Great food and an even better view!. The food and service are always outstanding! And they have one of the best looking staff in West Ashley, and definitely the hottest manager I've ever seen. Always a warm friendly atmosphere and quick service, I've never been treated badly here!!
Great Mexican. Great food, very friendly staff, very accomodating. Our church usually goes here every Sunday, and they go out of their way to make us happy.
Food was delicious and came fast. We didn't have any wait to get seated. The chips and salsa was good too. Our server was nice and came and checked on us many times and refilled chips and salsa and water. We had leftovers to take home. There is a separate section for vegetarians to order from.
I just loved the place, food was amazing so does the service, Mario helped us and he was great, also very affordable. Highly recommended😊
We have a fantastic dinner on Cinco De Mayo. We have visited other Rio Chico location and found West Ashley has great service. Food is delivered fast and hot. Chips and drinks refilled without asking. We will definitely return and recommend this location.

Sat outside. Great food, good flavors and fresh produce. I haven't gone anywhere else for Spanish dishes. Fresh chips made daily with a spicey red salsa sauce complementary. They have the best sweet tea and unsweetened tea. I get mine mixed 1/2 & 1/2.
Great little Mexican spot. Everyone is friendly and happy hour is all day on Thursdays.
This is our go to place for Mexican restaurants. The food is delicious and very consistent which is a big deal for me. I hate going to a place where it tastes different on different days. We've tried every Mexican place in West Ashley, but we keep coming back here. The only thing I don't like is every time we go there and you walk in, instead of smelling the delicious food, your smell bathroom cleaner.
Celebrated my birthday here on 10/14 with roughly 20 people. We were able to decorate and we had the time of your LIVESSS!! The staff was amazing and the food was great!
We all enjoyed ourselves and we will definitely continuing coming back here
This is by far 1 of the best and most authentic Mexican restaurant We have found in the Charleston area so far.
The service is great and they are attentive friendly. The food is spectacular so far. We make it our Wednesday weekly hot spot to eat. Thanks for the wonderful bday wishes from staff and cool decorations and dessert. The sang in Spanish happy birthday....soooo awesome....I have yet to find anything on menu I don't like. And the Moscow mule was refreshing even for someone who doesn't drink normally.
Wow I really enjoyed this place. I came here around 4:00pm on a Monday . The waitress was so sweet and made great recommendations. I always judge A good Mexican restaurant off of the salsa and margaritasI had a strawberry margarita - very good and the salsa had a lot of flavor. I ordered the number 15 two tamales and a hard taco .. The tamales were really good, The crunchy taco was just OK. I make far better taco but it wasn’t bad. :)
It was hot and filling . Over all I had a good experience and I would recommend giving this place a try. Oh and it offers a separate bar area really pretty cute. Did I say how sweet the waitress ( Olivia) was! Customer service is 100%

My husband and I decided to have our dinner delivered and I must say the food was wonderful. It was hot, it tasted amazing and talking to the manager and I guess the owner they are the nicest people. I will order again. And you can order on their website.
A group from my church meets there regularly for dinner and a Bible study. They always handle our group well. Quick service. Food is always good. Standard Tex-Mex menu plus seafood and house specialties. They have outdoor seating on the covered walkway.
The food is amazing I have never had a bad meal there. The carnitas, shrimp tacos to the chips and salsa you can't go wrong... All if it is delicious and the staff are amazing and friendly.
The lady that served us was da bomb. The manager tall with a bald head white shirt is also very accommodating. Our server had patience and a great personality. FOOD WAS BY FAR BETTER THAN RIO CHICOS IN CANE BAY HANDS DOWN AND so were the people there and the Messeras y la gente de cocina for those of you who don't know I said the waitresses and waiters along with the kitchen staff were way better as well.. WILL BE BACK.
My friends and I went here to hang out and eat. The food and service was good. I got nachos and it was delicious, the proportions of toppings (beef, cheese, refried beans,etc.) was a bit off but it was still yummy
The staff were super nice and very dog friendly on their outdoor tables!
Absolutely best food in town, and won't break the bank.
