Perfect!. Just finished a delcious meal at Pick Thai. We had spring rolls, pad thai, and red curry. All dishes and the service was outstanding. We look forward to returning soon.
Delicious!. We tried the Pick Thai in Summerville and were very impressed with the food. I'm not sure why there's soooo many bad reviews coz our food was absolutely delicious! We met the chef and he is Thai, and that was reflected in the authenticy of the food. We will definitely be visiting the Summerville restaurant again.
Very solid thai restaurant with very reasonable prices! Pad thai was great but no option to make it more spicy. I'd say not super authentic but still full of flavor.
Pad Thai---Could be better. It was ok---Pick Thai's menu describes it as having scallions. It did not have any. The portion was ample and tasty. Add scallions and red bell pepper would certainly make it better and authentic.
Worth Every Penny. We followed the advice of urbanspoon and drove down to James Island for some Thai food to celebrate my daughter's 14th birthday. She had the basil duck which was delicious. My son had the pad thai with tofu and raved about it. My husband had the duck salad and I had the Green Curry. Everything was fantastic. We finished off the meal with the Thai custard and sticky rice. Both were very good. The only thing a bet disappointing was the crispy tofu. We have added it to our list of favorites and will be back when another special occasion rolls around.
Absolutely Delicious. Because my husband is a Chef, we are huge fans of good food! Well, that's exactly what we found at Pick Thai and we found them on Urbanspoon! Amoung our group we tried 5 entrees and were far from disappointed! I think my favorites were the Basil Duck, Basil Eggplant and the Undon Noodles!!! Keep up the good work, PIck Thai; the food and service is awesome!!! See you guys real soon!!!
Found the review on urbanspoon. Which because it was rated high. It was absolutely fantastic. Very deserving of a high rating good food great prices! Our server was wonderful very informative about her earrings. Took summer rolls home for later.
When I first walked in I was a little worried since we were the only people in the restaurant, but it was fantastic! Had an incredibly friendly waitress and even though the place is small, it has a great atmosphere. The basil spring rolls were some of the best I'd ever had. Also got the Pad See Ew which was equally as tasty and impressive. My new favorite Thai restaurant in Charleston, I highly recommend it!
The Tom Kha Kai was delicious. One of the best ones I've had. The Crying Tiger Steak was well seasoned and the sauce had a nice tang to it. The spring rolls were a little bit oily though. Overall a really nice meal.

Great new addition to the island. Really good thai food and very pleasant owners. simple atomosphere but the food is delicious. typically take out and delivery would be great. if they delivered, we would probably eat Pick Thai 3 nights a week :) Keep up the great quality!

Best fresh basil rolls in town and I've tried them at Jasmine Thai, Basil, Quyen, Thai House, and Pattaya. The Chicken cashew nut was delicious also!
Duck, Duck, Duck. Have not eaten in yet but have had carry out twice. Both times were excellent albeit a little pricey for Thai. BUT, such flavor and everything was fresh. Had Red Curry Duck of course and Garlic and Pepper Chicken. In Fact, had this combo both times for carry out. Great to have a Thai place this close and good. Looking forward to the next time at Pick Thai.
No need to go to Basil anymore. This place is really good but be warned that the food is very spicy.

My sister and I phoned in an order for pickup. Our order was ready on time. The staff was very friendly on the phone and when picking up our order. The food was delicious, I’ll definitely be back. As of February 15, 2022, they were offering takeout only, no dining in.
I ordered the curry dumplings and pad Thai (medium spicy).
As always, the food is amazing. The seasoning is great and there's no need for any additional sauce or season.
I ended it with their custard and sticky white rice. Very pleased with the service as well.
Literally the best Thai in town. The only place I’ll go for pad Thai EVER. The servings are huge, and the employees are so nice. Love love love.
The Pad Thai is so good. I’ve tried a couple other places around here and this is just consistently better. It’s always fresh and hot. I get the chicken satay a lot as well. The peanut butter sauce is really good with the marinated chicken on a stick. So good.
Takeout only. Always accommodating and delicious. We like our Thai spicy and they deliver.
4/1/22: I had to update the review. 10 stars! We had Pad See Ew and Basil Fried Rice with tofu. Spicy on both. It was excellent. I always get Pad Thai and branched out. It was delicious. This place is a gem for takeout. Quick and easy and friendly. We love it. Enjoy!
Wow! I regret not trying this place sooner. I’m not usually an egg roll person (I don’t like bland and heavily fried things), but these were the best egg rolls I’ve ever had—crispy and fresh. The tofu panang curry was delicious, too! Tofu usually tastes disappointing, but they cook theirs perfectly. This was my favorite takeout meal I’ve had since the quarantine began.
This is our preferred Thai takeout in James Island! Very friendly lady running the show, and love the new eco-friendly takeout containers! We always receive great service and very consistent food. My only complaint would be that I wish they had yellow curry! There is no yellow curry in all of James Island.

I have literally eaten at Pick Thai well over a hundred times, taking my father to lunch many times a week.
The owners are the sweetest people on earth and the food is great.
Basil Eggplant is my staple with Fresh Basil Rolls as appetizer.
Please patronize these fine, humble people and their very fine restaurant.
Had a wonderful meal with my beautiful wife. The masaman curry, Thai fried rice, pad see-ew, stuffed shrimp, Thai iced tea and custard with sticky rice were all phenomenal. Great presentation and service. So glad this locally owned business is close to home!
Presentation of food is nice, had the shrimp rolls fresh (3 rolls cut in half 6 pieces)for appetizer and crying tiger for main course. I have to say it was wonderful, the beef was soo tender and juicy, I am not phased by spice so it wasnt bad for me and the sauce that came with it complimented the meal very good
We absolutely love Pick Thai! The basil rolls are delicious, fresh, and very well prepared. I have gotten into a rut lately, I cannot seem to order anything but the spicy udon noodles. They are fantastic every time and spicy enough to make me sweat a little. As a chef and restaurant owner, I really appreciate the quality of flavors the chefs here create. If you have not been there yet, you need to go and support this great little spot. Pick Thai!
Easily best Thai Chinese Japanese type food this side of CHARLESTON. Basil fried rice and pad Thai with tofu is amazing. Always consistently solid food and fair prices. Surprisingly decent restaurant considering it's in a strip mall.

I LOVE Thai food! It's so hard to find good, authentic Thai food in my area, so when I and my friend found ourselves on Folly Beach and hungry, we hit up Google for some quick, interesting food options and this place immediately caught our attention. It was around 2pm on Friday, and we entered the restaurant to find we were the sole guests. A sweet lady invited us to choose a table and promptly took our drink orders, as we surely looked hot and thirsty. I had a big reusable cup with me and asked if she would mind filling it with a ton of ice water as I was nearing heatstroke, and without batting an eye she took it from me and quick as lightning returned with my frigid refreshment. I also got a sweet tea, which was achingly sweet but gave me the sugar energy to continue surviving.
My friend had never had curry, so we started with the Curry Puffs appetizer. They were super-fresh, hot as hell (temperature-wise), perfectly crisp, and delicious with the amazing vinegar-red onion-cucumber dipping sauce. My friend loved them!
Then it was time to get down to business. I ordered the Prik Khing with shrimp and it was fantastic! The shrimp were spiralized somehow, making the dish a feast for all the senses, with its gorgeous presentation, spicy aroma, and subtle but building heat. Plenty of delicious veggies made me feel like it was a healthy lunch option. The portion was significant, and I took half home for an amazing late-night snack, which I shared with my husband who has always claimed to hate Thai food. He liked it! As a matter of fact, he ate more than his share. ;)
My friend got Green Curry Chicken and LOVED it! The coconut milk took the edge off the heat of the curry and the fragrance was incredible! The veggies were perfectly cooked and the chicken was fork-tender and saturated with amazing flavor.
I am a HUGE fan of Tom Yum soup done well, and got a big cup of Tom Yum Koong to go. Eaten for lunch the following Tuesday at work, it was as good as if it had been made right then and there. These Thais know their stuff, and they do not dumb it down for us crackers. I wholeheartedly appreciate their devotion to the true essence of their food and culture, and I will definitely return for a gallon of my precious soup and whatever else on the menu strikes my fancy. Support this restaurant, because good Thai food is hard to find!
This is within 1 -hour of the Hudson Valley town and is so week situated and priced that we are signing up my sister to live there in a few weeks. They have re furnished rooms, internet, activities and van service. Plus three meals and housekeeping.
