Fun place. Dive bar that has great, cheap drinks and a good game of pool. Didn’t eat the food but I heard great things abt the cheesesteak. Stop here when you’re downtown!!

Excellent food for a dive bar! You can tell by the number of take out the locals do at lunch. Great prices, friendly experience staff. Where the locals, tourists and students gather without feeling out of place. Recommend the Grinder andtheA C burger.

Loved the atmosphere. The music was great because they didn't just stick with one type

Absolutely amazing! The atmosphere is amazing, prices are insanely awesome, and the food is phenomenal. My friend said, "hands down the best burger I've ever had." They have pool, drinks, and lots of fun decorations. Very much a bar atmosphere downtown. The cheapest burger is $5.75, and the most expensive is around $8 or $9. I 100% would eat here again.

Bar service was terrific!! Beer was extra cold. 3 pool tables, good amount of seating if you don't mind wooden bench tables and seats. Needs repairs on floors. Back area smells like sewage, but considering this buling is very old, it's somewhat expected, but should be maintained in a better fashion. Bar was clean, bathrooms were clean and kitchen was very clean and organized. Great experience and will definitely be back!

Not a bar for everyone but we enjoyed ourselves. We ate jalapeños poppers that were excellent. Surprisingly fresh. The fried mushrooms were as equally good and both came with very tasty dipping sauces. A couple of drinks each and we were both content.

Grilled chicken & Swiss is the house sandwich for a reason! You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Their ranch is the best I've had anywhere, must be made in house?

Hello, I was kicked out without explanation. Before you judge that statement, I’m a college student visiting my family. I had 2 beers exactly (didn’t even finish the second) My brothers go to Charleston and I was here for the weekend. The bar was wonderful up until somebody walked up and said “ you need to leave now.” I responded with silence and walked out. I figured he’d explain what was going on at the door. He didn’t say anything. Regardless, just explain to people why you’re throwing them out. I was there with my family and was told to leave with no explanation. I’m sure if given the opportunity he would’ve realized he had the wrong guy. Thank you. And please don’t take my review the wrong way, the bar was cool, but what your employee did… that was above me. Also I’m refraining from referencing the employee because I understand he was just doing his job, but please just talk to people when throwing them out, sometimes you got the wrong guy. Also the bar is awesome besides that. I was enjoying myself throughly and enjoyed watching some people go off in pool.

Funky "dive" with 3 pool tables, a bar, a grill and some booths. Saturday night very busy, pretty full and noisy. Only one bartender made for pretty slow service and a bit of a wait to get food but staff is friendly and helpful. Loved the mozerella sticķs, burger was great and so were other sandwiches. Would love to eat here again but not on a Saturday night!!

Great dive bar with good late night grub and affordable drinks. Great atmosphere as well. The only thing I can complain about are the Horrendous bathrooms! The smell hits you in the face like a left hook. They should be power washed and bleached for days.

Standard dive bar - if you go expecting something different, well you would be sorely mistaken. Great people watching on Friday night and decent beer specials during happy hour. 10 / 10 exactly what I would expect from a dive bar.

I first came here in the late 90's, and had the absolute pleasure of returning last week (Sep. 2020). Other restaurants chided me in saying that, "A.C.'s is a college bar, and you're too old." For them, I say, "Learn from the young then." Their bartenders were on point the entire time, even when it was slow; eye-contact was enough for another drink, and service was superior to *every* other bar I visited (and as a former Charleston native, I visited a lot). Regardless if you're visiting, going to school, or a native, this should be the watering hole that every location strives to achieve.
