Oh gosh! Everything there is wonderful. Olive bread, croissants, olive bread, cookies (especially the trail mix/everything but the kitchen sink thrown in), olive bread... Can you guess my favorite? Yes, olive bread! Add your own salad and you have a great, yummy meal!  I actually just called and requested a "hold" on a loaf. The olive bread is only made on Friday, I think. Makes my weekend even better.
Everyone there is super nice and helpful + the owner, Libby, is a sweetheart!

Cooookies me want cooookies. As much as I, and my husband and kids. And my parents, my sisters, my aunt, her 2 kids. My neighbors and friends ALL LOVE the chocolate chip cookies, we have to limit ourselves or we would all die of deliciousness. And the almandine crescent rolls? Whoo boy, I'll take those and hide with them.

Local, fresh and delicious. Do yourself a favor and find out the day they make macaroons then be there early. I honestly don't usually care for coconut things but those are just ridiculously awesome.

Blue Monday bread is my favorite. The everything cookies and croissants are to die for- but nothing, and I mean nothing at all beats the macaroons.

Yum!. I've never had a bad thing at Charleston Bread Company! The staff is very friendly and their food is out of this world! One of my favorite treats is the cinnamon raisin bread, toasted with a dab of butter, on a cool autumn day. It's delish! Their cookies are incredible, too. My husband loves their chocolate chip and I can't get enough of their peanut butter cookies. Again, you can't go wrong with anything you pick. They seem to have a rotating menu, so don't expect to walk in and get exactly what you want any day. Some of their more popular items are gone pretty early, so if you know you want something in particular, give them a call the day before and they'll hold it for you.

Wonderful!!!. I love the Charleston Bread Co!!! Love it! Everything we've purchased (even the doggy treats) have been exceptional.

If you need something special...ie Thanksgiving rolls then call ahead, they'll have them for you!

I don't know about the other posters but I'm super picky about my cookies and the cranberry with almond and coconut are wonderful. Now I think Panera's fine but they are not even in the same caliber of baking!

I can't say anything I don't like! Excellent service, friendly staff and wonderful products!

Don't it always seem to go........... Without a doubt Charleston Bread produces a superior product which had heretofore been unavailable in Charleston. Is every item perfectly prepared? No, of course not. But it is the only source in this local for breads, cookies and pastries made from good quality organic flours and grains. The products from this bakery are the ones this area needs; if you have a quibble with service or product quality, take the time to talk to Libby, the owner, and try to resolve the issue, rather than whine and trash the place online. We need to do everything we can to hold on to the culinary treasures we have in this area and help them grow, not tear them down with the resulting in decrease in options for good eating. Support local, even if it takes a little bit more work on your part. Support delicious! Support Charleston Bread!

The olive loaf is our favorite, but sourdough is excellent, too. And the staff is wonderful and friendly. Charleston is fortunate to have such a good bakery.

Looking over what was there, I decided to grab a ciabatta and three cookies. I thought a bruchetta sounded like a fun option, and ciabatta works okay, even if the slices are a bit bigger. When I got home and tasted the cookies, I got quite an

I love this place. The Charleston Sourdough has to be one of my favorites. The cookies are delicious. And if you can catch them the Almond crescent rolls and the black current scones are amazing!!! If you're in Charleston and want some good freshly baked bread I highly recommend this place!!!

A gem in downtown Charleston. I love to stop by and pick up a loaf of my favorite bread or breakfast danish. The place smells amazing and my mouth begins to water as soon as I pull up outside. This is also a great place to take your kids because it exposes them to how foods are actually made. It also is a great opportunity to teach them about the different ingredients in bread, the chemical reactions that occur in the prep and baking process, and a neat history and geography lesson leading to the creation of each unique bread type. Did I mention that I like bread? Anyway, the cheese bread is amazing for lunch paninis.

One of my favorite bakeries on the planet, and I'm not even from Charleston anymore. The bread rotates and every offering is exquisite. The cookies are some of my favorite ever--especially the trail mix, which are easily in my top five cookies of all time. I am never disappointed and always stop at least once when I'm in Charleston.

I feel so bereft having not been going to this bakery my whole life. Their sourdough is a new household staple. I share their scones and pastries with coworkers, who are deeply impressed. Marry me, Charleston Bread. Toasted country bread with butter is a religious experience.

This place is so AWESOME, best breads in Southern West Virginia bar none. So happy they are still open and thriving, their breads are something different a very special treat. I LOVE this place, plus it's only 2 miles from my home which is HUGE. It doesn't matter which loaves you purchase they're all GRRRREAT!! My favorite the Olive Levain is off the chain. I not only HIGHLY recommend Charleston Bread I can't imagine buying bread anymore from anywhere else.

An absolute gem of Charleston. But if I tell you exactly why I go here, frequently, I’m afraid they’ll sell out faster. This is the best bakery in Charleston, and perhaps West Virginia. Some of their goods beat even my favorite local spots in major metropolises elsewhere in the country.
