What sold me the most during tasting was Katie the manager. She was so professional and talked about all the extras she would do so I didn’t have to worry about a thing. She 100% did everything she said and more! Helped put together our signature punch, lite our candles, cleaned our cake display, and had someone run to restaurant when our keg dispenser didn’t work. Those bartending were very professional and even made daiquiris and margaritas with our machine that we provided. On top of that, the staff smiled the whole time and katie even stepped in when we had some wedding crashers try to sneak in. Worth every penny, great food, and even better service! Thank you katie and team!

Very Good - We had the "Special" 2 for $48 which included Salad, Entrée and dessert, plus a bottle of red OR white wine (before 6:00 pm).
They catered our wedding on the 23rd and were outstanding. They tailored to our small group and made the whole thing worry free. Highly recommend them.

Dinner last night. I'm a northern Michigan girl bred and buttered, and as such pretty used to exceptional dining fare. The Grey Gables left nothing to be desired. Wonderful service, excellent wine and dinner was beyond our expectations. Save room for dessert!
We had Grey Gables cater our wedding (at Castle Farms) and the food and service were absolutely wonderful. Everyone at our wedding commented on how wonderful the food was :) We even had a few leftovers which they graciously wrapped up for us and we got to enjoy it the week after the wedding as well!
Grey Gables is a "white tablecloth" dining experience! The food is perfectly prepared and served graciously for two or a family. All in all a great place!
Thank you for catering my wedding at Castle Farms! My guests have all said it was the best wedding food they have tasted. We will be eating here when we come back to Charlevoix
I have always loved Grey Gables, since I️ was a teenager, forty years ago, and what Darren and Kelly bring to this latest incarnation is sublime! The food is excellent and the service is welcoming and fun (thank you, Rusty!) I am especially grateful for their tolerance for sailors, descending in masse from CYC.
The food was excellent and the service was great. Would recommend for dinner or a special occasion.
We had Grey Gables for our reception, food/bar, and they were excellent!! The guest wouldn't stop talking about how great the Braised Beef Bourguignon was!! And, that they doubled up on it :) They also really loved the Whipped Vanilla Sweet Potatoes! Thank you so much Darren for making awesome food!!

The food was good! My husband planned to have whitefish and he said it's great! I stole some of his food, it was light and healthy. No fishy smell. Sprinkle more salt and pepper if you are not that healthy!
I got both Calamari and Tuna both of them were good, I like both and ate them all. I like the way they made calamari but for the tuna, it would be better if they could give me more sauce on top or put it on the side. I ended up dipping the tuna in my calamari sauce.
The bread was fresh and delicious! I wish it came with fresh butter.
Service was okay, the restaurant get busy real quick and it's not easy to find our guy.
Overall it was a nice dinner!

Grey Gables was the perfect venue for our small wedding reception (32). We have become fast regulars here over this past year leading up to our event-the food quality is just amazing!
The staff was extremely professional and well-organized. Coordination and communication were top notch. Katie was great to work with. She always got back to us quickly and answered all of our questions. There was some confusion over it being a wedding reception and that is a different price than a private party dinner just FYI.
Katie met us at the venue and made sure that the room was set up just how we wanted it. We were allowed to bring in flowers and high top rented tables and our cake lady was allowed in early to set up.
Kenroy was our one and only server and everyone was BEYOND impressed with him!!!! He didn’t miss a beat-served all drinks, delicious bread and scones and salads, the main meals and did the cake service flawlessly and quickly. He was cheerful and outgoing with everyone and answered everyone’s questions with ease-I’m not kidding, you would think there were 5 people working our room-so many compliments on Kenroy!!!!!!
Also so many compliments on the amazing food quality, we chose prime rib, chicken Marsala and whitefish-everyone, no matter what they chose, enjoyed their meal thoroughly.
Highly recommend!!! We will be back soon!

The salmon is an incredible dish, as is the white fish. Wouldn’t recommend the walleye though. Pasta is delicious. Mushroom bisque is fantastic, and their desserts always taste homemade.

We enjoyed Valentine’s Day dinner at the Grey Gables. Upon arrival (early, 5:30) we were greeted and promptly seated. Our seats were in the middle of the “less quaint” dining room. If I could recommend any change in ambience, it would be in this dining room. I think it is normally used as banquet room? But, the room feels hollow and lacks the gracious feeling that the bar and the main dining room possess. Our server (very nice young woman - sorry, didn’t catch her name) was quick to ask about drinks and tell us about the various menu options. We enjoyed the fried, spicy calamari with our wine. The bread service was great - warm! We ended up choosing salmon over couscous and pasta bolanese. Both choices were very good. For dessert, we shared a hot fudge cream puff. My wife received a long stem mum from the host, as we departed. We’ll be back in the Spring-
We came here for our 20th anniversary. What a beautiful place! Staff was absolutely amazing. We told our server that we wanted privacy and she gave us just that but still actually checked back periodically to make sure we did not need anything. The food was fabulous! It was plated beautifully! I just wish I could try everything on menu!
My husband and I had an amazing experience at Grey Gables! Everything from the food to the service was of superb quality.
The ambiance was cozy yet very classy, and we were greeted by a friendly hostess who escorted us to a perfect corner spot. Our server Ken was very friendly and helpful. He recommended the baked and stuffed white fish, so I ordered that and my husband ordered the stuffed Dover special. We also had some tasty scones and warm bread while we waited for our meals. We were both over the moon with our choices. I seriously wish I could go back in time to eat this meal for the first time again.
I had a sweet Riesling from the expansive selection of wines, and we finished up the night with a baked peach crisp with some ice cream. It was a perfect fancy date night, and we can’t wait to come back to visit!
Wow...You will NOT BE DISAPPOINTED...From the moment you walk in GG sells high end... the tables to the wine glasses.. I got king prime rib. It was cooked perfectly and one hell of a piece of meat. The wine menu was amazing the service second to none and the atmosphere was romantic. WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK
The service was great, as for the food, it came pretty fast and my family was impressed by our appetizers, however we were all slightly disappointed with the entrees. The desserts on the other hand were very extravagant and delicious.
Grey Gables catered our wedding last weekend and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. Katie was fantastic and communicated with me about everything and answered all of my silly questions that popped up. Our meal was phenomenal and tasted exactly like our tasting months prior. All of our guests were satisfied and won't stop talking about how great it was. They also saved us some of our passed appetizers and set them at our sweetheart table so we could enjoy them too. Grey Gables also bartended our wedding and they were fantastic and made sure everyone got the perfect drink. We truly appreciate everything they did for us!

We hired Grey Gables for our Castle Farms wedding for both catering and bartending. Their communication is awesome and Katie made sure to answer all our questions leading up to the big day. Doing a taste test to choose the menu was a fun experience and they are so open with any ideas you have and flexible with any dietary needs for your guests! Grey Gables is very experienced which makes the process so simple with well-organized information packets and great recommendations. The food was definitely a win as we got many compliments on it and the staff day of was incredibly sweet! They even made my husband and I an extra plate after they put the buffet away since we got busy hosting and didn’t each much of our meal. The bartenders also did an amazing job keeping up with everyone and even learning certain people’s orders so it was a breeze when they went up for another. They also take care of cutting your cake and boxing up any leftovers for you at the end of the night which was so appreciated! I would highly recommend Grey Gables' catering and bartending services for your event.
