Good, classic diner food at affordable prices. The interior has fun retro decor and neon lighting. The food was good, but the country ham was too salty to eat it all. I enjoyed the waffle. Our server was super friendly but came to check on us so quickly that we felt a little rushed, but it’s likely because the restaurant wasn’t busy at the time we went.

This was quite a fun little place to grab a place to eat with my family before attending an event at the Spectrum Center. It was easily within walking distance. The hostess and waiter was very friendly and helpful, and the food was delicious!

My experience at Red Eye Diner in Charlotte was fantastic! From the moment we walked in, the cozy and welcoming atmosphere caught my attention. It's a perfect spot for breakfast or brunch with friends or family. The menu had a fantastic variety of options, and I couldn't resist trying their signature "Red Eye" omelette, which was packed with flavor. The portion sizes were generous, and the food was cooked to perfection. What really stood out, though, was the friendly and attentive staff. They made me feel right at home, and their recommendations were spot on. The diner's retro decor added to the charm, and I loved the nostalgic feel of the place. It's a great spot to enjoy a classic American diner experience. Overall, Red Eye Diner in Charlotte is a hidden gem for those seeking a delicious meal in a warm and inviting setting. I can't wait to go back and try more of their tempting menu items!

Only thing I really don't like about it is the location because of the parking you have to pay the park unless you can get something out of this room. Besides that customer service is always good. The food always come by and delicious. As you can see we have salad, chicken and waffles, a breakfast platter, the bang bang shrimp wraps, and cheeseburgers. Everything was good and hot. I recommend getting the the waffles.

This is our family's favorite place for downtown Charlotte ❤️ to eat. It's open 24/7 and has some of the best food around. In the pictures 📸 l posted is a California style hamburger it has lettuce, tomatoes 🍅, avocados 🥑, pepper 🌶 jack 🧀 cheese, and Black Angus beef, pickles, and onions 🌰. It was soooo very good. The drink 🍸 is a Stawberry tequila, sugar rimmed margarita $5 it too was very good!!! The customer service was absolutely amazing 👏 👌 🙌 😍. I honestly have to say I felt like l was eating at home!!! This diner is definitely worth checking out whenever you're downtown!!!!

Didn't realize anything was still open in the epi center. Was glad to find I was wrong! Late night, uptown Charlotte... Where else would you go? Just a fabulous greasy spoon that's open late and satisfies those midnight munchies.

Classic diner feel, great service, and the best fried chicken I’ve had in ages. I got the half chicken with collard greens and mash with gravy. It took a while because it’s supposed to! Fresh fried chicken takes time, skill, and love.

Food couldn’t have been better. Biscuits and gravy were on point as well as the rest of the meal. Server as attentive as I would have liked anywhere.

Clean and quiet(5am). But the service was great, The food came out in a timely matter, fresh, and very good. Only thing I didn't care for is it tasted like they fried my chicken in the same grease as fish(my hubby had fish). But other than that, great portion of food. I love flavored cream for my coffee. The restaurant didn't carry any but the waitress gave me some out of her own personal stash! That was love 🥰🥰

Not really easy to find due to it being in a alley way like but once you find it, it will be worth it. Service was fast and staff was professional. I ordered shrimp & grits with Om egg, my bestfriend did biscuit n gravy with eggs. Very good and recommend the Shrimp N Grits If I ever come back to Charlotte I will eat here again.

This place is a classic place. It's a blast from the past. It is on an old railway car so it's super unique and has charm. The service was good and the food was correct but we had to ask for ketchup, straws, napkins and silverware. Refills were slow as well. The food was good but very greasy. I liked the place overall and would go there and but I would try something different and maybe on a less busy night.

Came for breakfast just before the crowd. The shrimp & grits was the best I've ever had. The consistency and flavor were on point. The fresh biscuit was great, as well as the sausage gravy. The fried chicken was crispy and moist, just right. Wasn't on my list before but sure is now. Definitely recommend a visit. The decor is a true old school diner

When I visited I was kind of sad that there was a long wait. I decided to place my name on the list and venture to the other stores around to pass the time. I’m so glad I waited. These chicken and waffles 🥹 SO GOOD!

My husband and I stopped here for a bit to eat before attending an event at the Spectrum Center. We both had burgers. He had waffle fries and I had onion rings. Delicious!! The patties were seasoned. Onion rings were not over breaded or oily and a substantial size. We will definitely go back again.

The RedEye Diner was great. The French toast was so good u didn't reaaly need syrup. Had some of my husband's shrimp and grits which our server Jacob recommended and it was awesome. He was great very friendly, knowledgeable about the food and even carried on a little convo from time to time throughout the morning rush. 10/10 I do recommend
