I still believe this place has one of the BEST OUTDOOR PATIOS in Charlotte! They have a private room in the back for special occasions. Big community tables for bigger parties. The patio is PET FRIENDLY š. This location has 2 bars, inside and out. Drink specials. Not a really big space...but the patio definitely makes up for it. They also have an upper level available for seating. I recommend the 3 amigos, calamari, and the long duck dong Korean steak š®. Prices definitely varies on what you order. Menu stays the same whether lunch or dinner.
I have been hearing good things about here for a while. However, my recent visit blew my expectations out of the park! The service was friendly and fun! Our server offered great suggestions and answered all of our questions. I ordered the steak fajitas and added shrimp. The food was well seasoned, steaming hot, and gave my taste buds the best dance party lol. I plan to come back soon to try the tacos. The other people I was with ordered them and they looked great!
The food here was really good. For starters we tried the ābook it danoā and it was the best nachos Iāve ever tried. We also tried their tacos which were really good as well. My bf had the āClarence beeksā burrito and he loved it as well. I think the food was an overall 10/10. We ordered some alcoholic beverages but we let our waitress choose for us, those were good too. The only issue we had was that one of our drinks was frozen and for some reason the entire mason jar broke so the drink spilled on our food. But because it wasnāt our mistake, they made us a new drink and remade our dishes. They were really nice and professional.
Delicious food, good/quick service, and a nice atmosphere. Went on a Friday night, sat on patio, and we all enjoyed our meals. Tacos were all delicious, I had the buffalo chicken, ahi tuna, and Korean tacos. This is a hidden gem.
Slightly odd, but their white beans are phenomenal. A great variety of tacos. Food is always tasty. Drink specials are good too! I hate that their rice has changed to cilantro only (ruins their dishes for those of use with the soapy reaction to it).
My only other compliant is that they have plants that cover the railings on the back entrance. We recently went with an older aunt and the plants blocking the railing made it really difficult to get up the steps.
Came here when they first opened and recently came back for tequila Thursdays when all of their tequilas are half price, even top shelf. Sat at the outside bar on the patio and enjoyed the ambiance. The service was great. The bartender never let our drinks get empty. Will def be back, can't beat the specials.
Ruruās is a great spot for lunch or dinner. The outdoor patio is usually packed during warm weather months and has an outside bar. The margaritas are always strong and well made.
Weāve tried most items in the menu over the last 5-6 years and the stars are the tacos and burritos. For tacos, the seafood options like Shrimp, Grilled or Fried Mahi Mahi are consistent. For meat, the Carnitas is our top choice. Burrito options are unique and the Spicy āDeath by Ruruā is loaded with carnitas and āClarence Beeksā with grilled skirt steak.
Service is good considering how busy it can be. Thereās a parking lot behind that helps with the large weekend crowds.
Went here recently and was really surprised by the place. The staff were all friendly and attentive and the food I ordered was great. The patio looked incredible also, but it was a little too chilly to be out there. Honestly wasn't very expensive either. I'll definitely be back if I'm looking for a bite in this part of town again!
The fajitas were fantastic. Service was great. The atmosphere outside was great as well. A++ Would recommend.
Stopped in for lunch after a suggestion from a local business owner. Nice casual atmosphere. Wish weād come in the evening to sit outside and enjoy the patio. The menu was extensive but not overwhelming. Our party of 3 all got tacos, and we shared chips and queso. The food was delicious! We especially loved Fay Guy in a Little Coat! Highly recommend for great tacos!
Liked Ru Ruās tacos and tequila in Charlotte North Carolina. They make a really great frozen margarita. We also had the trio of dips with chips and I had steak quesadilla and the chicken taco. Our server Madison was extremely attentive. I think the only negative was we were sitting outside in the corner and once our food came out, we were attacked by flies. Next time Iād probably sit inside or somewhere else. Will definitely go back.
We got recommended to come here on our way out of town and decided to try it out. Jay the bartender gave us great service and is a true hustler, while we were there we saw him working twice as much as everyone else. He was not only taking care of the bar guests, but also serving tables and making sure everyone got food. While I know everyoneās perception is different, it seemed like (who I assume) the manager was, was doing as little work as possible.

Alot of people love Ru Ru's because they are always busy! That's a good thing! The steak quesadilla is really good (especially if you dip it into the queso cheese). Chips & queso are good too.
First of all, it took a while to find the restaurant. Missed the turning from the main road three times which was frustrating and didnāt even know there was parking in the back.
The food was good. I had the shrimp fajitas - everything was excellent. My friend had the beef nachos. For drinks I ordered the friends zone margarita with strawberry flavor. It was below average. I couldnāt really taste the alcohol.
One thing that bother me were those invisible tiny bugs. They definitely took me for dinner. We were seated inside by the window. Those suckers are me alive. I had hives on my hands and legs and feet. My friend didnāt experience it but definitely took a star out because of that. I guess if you have sensitive skin like mine, bring your bug spray.
Other than that, food was good. Really good and drinks were below average.
Always thought the inside was not great. Found out about the back patio last week. Definitely a great outdoor space WITH ample parking in the back. Food is pretty decent and decent menu selection.
Accessibility: Not sure about wheelchair accessibility but it looked like there may have been on the back side (not sure).

Went there for Taco Tuesday early, 4:30-5pm, & enjoyed sitting outside in their large patio area. One of the best outside seating restaurants in Charlotte! Service and friendliness were great.
