I went there on a business trip with friends and coworkers, and I must tell that the cuisine was delicious and we all really enjoyed it. They need to concentrate a little more on cleaning, in my opinion, as I discovered that their restroom was quite unkempt and filthy. Additionally, they need to hire additional employees to look after their patrons because we had to wait a little while longer to get the check because the same person who delivered the check was also the one who cleaned the table. The rest was fine, and I'll give them a five-star rating for their cuisine. I'll go back someday, and I'm hoping to see progress in the highlighted area. Thank you!
So glad this restaurant is under new management! The last establishment was so rude and unfriendly. We had a great experience. The servers were so kind and welcoming. Started with Chicken 65, then had a lot of curries and Byriani. Our favorite curry was the Mughalia. 10/10. The naan was perfect. Can’t wait to go back.

The newly opened Biryani Nation in Ballentyne is becomes our favorite Indian restaurant nowadays. We have tried bucket biryani one time and week day unlimited lunch non-veg thali multiple times, we love the flavor and taste. It is definitely worth for the price. We recommend to our friends and neighbors as well. I like the new look & feel atmosphere. The staff (Faizal Ayan) is so kind and really appreciate the way he handles the customers.
12/17/23 - loved the potlam chicken biriyani and shrimp vepudu. The manager always comes and checks, asks for feedback (he has been doing right from the time this new place opened)...
Aug 2023-
New management, new takeover...
Loved the varities this restaurant has to offer.. finally an Indian restaurant in Ballantyne with a lot more options to choose from... usually had to go to Bawarchi in Concord when we wanted to splurge for options... food is good and delicious....
Good ambiance, fast service and delicious food. Biryani was scrumptious and very good. Soup was also good. Food was perfectly spiced and really flavorful. Will be back for more.
We visited Biryani Nation for lunch on a Monday. It’s located in the Ballantyne area of Charlotte. Here’s my experience:
Food: 4-4.5/5. We got the Vijaywada Boneless Biryani and Ulavacharu Paneer Biryani. The Chicken Biryani tasted well with small pieces of fried chicken; however the Chicken quantity was quite less as compared to the amount of rice. Paneer Biryani was on point. They’ve thalis also available in case you want to try them.
Service: 5/5, they try their best. It took us around 10-15 mins to get the food. On busy days or on weekends, the wait can be longer.
Atmosphere: It’s a decent desi atmosphere inside with Hindi and South Indian songs playing. The crowd that visits is pretty diverse.
Parking is available outside. We will visit again to try more of their dishes. Overall, it’s a decent Indian restaurant in Charlotte.
Teja was our waiter this evening and carefully explained our questions about the menu. He has such a bright, calm, and pleasant demeanor. The food was very flavorful and the rice was so fluffy. Our toddler loves Indian cuisine and ate everything on her plate which can be hard for her to do at times. My husband claims how his goat masala was the best he’s ever had. The restaurant’s new appearance, staff, and dishes did not disappoint.
When you go ask for Teja. ❤️
Great menu for Biryani and Indian appetizers.
The food served is the best Indian food I've eaten in the Charlotte area. And I've tried them all. there were spices and flavors that were the real thing. Service was excellent It's not any, The noise level very low w which was nice so I could converse with the people eating with me. Easy parking.
The cuisine was absolutely exquisite. Their unlimited lunch offering many different choices! Faisal graciously attended to us; his sweetness and amiability added to the experience. I wholeheartedly endorse this establishment to all enthusiasts who love food!
