Wow, amazing family oriented restaurant. From the time I walked into the place to when I was seated. Didn't have to wait too long for the table and had an awesome server. Very kind and genuine. Made sure we understood the menu and what we had wanted. The coffee was very hot and fresh brew. The food was on point. It's really a big portion for one person. Able to share but don't have to if you don't want to. The seasoning and cooking on the food was everything. It's definitely one of my best spots that I will definitely be able to go back to.

I stumbled into Sunflower Family Restaurant expecting a regular meal, but oh boy, it turned into a gastronomic adventure! The biscuits were so fluffy they could double as edible pillows, and the country fried steak was so massive, I briefly considered using it as a flotation device. The mashed potatoes were creamier than a spa day, and the corn was buttery enough to make a movie about. Lori, our superstar waitress, must have had a PhD in tea surveillance because my glass was never allowed to hit the half-empty mark. Sunflower, where my taste buds went on vacation and Lori was the tea-time MVP!

The food was delicious. The portions were large. The service was outstanding! Best of all was the sweet tea and the Arnold Palmer!!! We will have breakfast here again before heading home.

Wonderful little well kept secret! I'm glad my godmother bought me there. It's a nice, pleasant eatery with good southern hospitality which makes for impeccable customer service. The food was amazing! Whole grain grits, veggie omelet. Everything was simply delightful all the way down to the atmosphere of the restaurant. And they serve breakfast all day! A "Must go to eatery" in my book!

I dare you to find a better place for breakfast/lunch that’s family owned, has amazing food, has awesome reviews by over 1,500 people, and is very reasonably priced. The prices for the amount of food you get is crazy! They offer up egg white and turkey sausage/bacon substitutes. Their French toast was delicious, thick and fresh! The place was packed and we were ready for a wait or at least prepared to have a difficult time trying to park based on previous reviews, but we had neither! It’s incredible how much love can be crammed into this little place. We just wish it was closer to us! ❤️

Always a delight when I come home to N.C. There is nothing like the old-fashioned variety of foods served here 😋 ❤️

Bomb water is always a good sign when visiting a restaurant. They give a lot of food, even filled me up, was pretty good too. This isn't a knock, but a heads up, space is tight, but they have a good flow of getting people in and out.

Don't let the modest outer appearance of this place fool you. Inside, it's bright and decorated with colorful pictures and folksy framed sayings that make you feel right at home. The menu is extensive, serving everything from breakfast food to Greek entrees. The Greek patties were delicious--2 giant flat seasoned pork meatballs over rice, topped with brown gravy. It came with 2 sides and a cup of soup. Too bad they're only open until 2 pm and not on Sundays!

Decided to stop for late lunch while driving through Charlotte. We are so glad we did. The friendly staff was able to accommodate our group of 7, despite being quite busy, and the food was delicious with large portions and reasonable prices. Sunflower Family Restaurant is a wonderful, local establishment that has something for everyone.
