My first time eating here today, the service was amazing and my food was sooo awesome I’m ready to go back tomorrow for the great food.

Queen Soul Food is a great place if you are in the mood for soul food. Every dish is tasty and authentic southern cuisine. My favorite item on the menu is their yams. They are sweet and delicious. I also like the bbq chicken. The meat is tender and falls off the bone. Everything is home made. The staff is friendly and makes you feel at home. The owners are super sweet and down to earth.

I was sitting down the street in a dealership deciding what to do for dinner when I found Queen's on the list from Zomato. I walked in, and it was such a different experience with the cafeteria style line to pick your food from, that I wasn't sure if I'd made a good call. But for $13 including tax for a large plate, I figured it was a good deal and deserved the try. I interacted with those working, who were helpful and cordial. I took my tea and dinner home. I can honestly say it's some of the best southern food I've had. The Collard Greens are as good as any I've had, not shying away from a little kick! The yams were surprisingly balanced with sweetness and tenderness without being mushy at all. The cabbage I got was just ok, leaving me wishing I'd gotten the mac and cheese which looked so good. I had the jerk chicken, which fell off the bone and had a strong but reasonable heat. So Good! I also did the smothered pork chops, which I'd never had before and really enjoyed. The cornbread was different than any I've had but very good. It was enough food for 2 meals so I can enjoy the rest the next day! Aside from the cabbage, the only other minor issue was the iced tea. I mixed sweet and unsweet together, and I'm guessing they were still hot or warm in the container because it melted all the ice almost instantly, which was almost a half cup! I'll definitely be back, especially for the greens, and highly recommend a stop at Queens!!
The owner was a bit annoying and low key flirty with his words towards the lady guest I had with me, nice guy though. Not all of what I expected but friendly staff and good food.
Outstanding food! I have brought my family here many times and it has always been wonderful food and outstanding service! The meatloaf, ribs, bourbon chicken, and curry chicken are favorites. Don't leave without trying the cole slaw and collard greens. This is not high end dining but if you are looking for great home cooked food Queens is an outstanding value. My family of 5 can eat a great meal for under $50.
Service and atmosphere was great… sides great…. Turkey wings could have been browned…..the pale one is what they gave me. The darker one was after I cooked it. The taste of everything was great tho
Excellent delicious seasoned perfectly soul food, greens sometimes but not always are a bit salty but not usually. Yams smooth and so good. The oxtails and turkey wings are my main reason for going to Queens. Restaurant is clean, servings are generous, staff friendly. So many options!! I wish there were more restaurants so I could visit more often.
Was searching for some good soul food while visiting North Carolina, and this place didn't disappoint. The food was good and the Kool-aid was as well.
Food was on point, homemade, seasoned well and fresh. Staff was polite and owner/ cook was a joy to speak to. I will most definitely be back again.

Wow! The whiting didn’t disappoint! I liked everything I ate, Whiting, Catfish, Mac & Cheese, Collard Greens and Yams. I took the sweet potato pie home, have yet to dig in 🤗. None of the food was salty. I would def eat here again while visiting this area. The restaurant and restrooms were very clean.
I got the pigs feet as a side shrimp plate fried okra mac&cheese ofc I had to get the corn bread growing up southern I can happily say you will not be disappointed this is just like grandma makes 😩
Used UberEATS for my husband, as I am out of town The small plate had a generous portion. The food looked amazing, he enjoyed every bite and he shared the BBQ chicken was so tender , it fell off the bone. I will order again.
I Am not from the Queen City ,But i have a Daughter in college At JCSU. I saw Queens Soul Food on line when searching for places to Eat. I had the Ox Tails rice yams and cabbage ,And got a second plate lol 😆 with Jerk chicken Macoroni and cheese and Slaw. My wife had Smothered pork chop Greens and Macoroni. I Highly recommend this place the Food was very good and seasoned perfectly. Prices are very Fair and you can choose a Small or Large plate. That option is Great!!
The owner, Tony, is so welcoming! He was super kind to my toddlers. Now Chef Andre, he needs a PROMOTION!! He can cook his tail off! It’s like he got his grandma’s hands and spices hidden in his fingers. Each employee was knowledgeable and welcoming. If you’re from NY and looking for soul food, this is what you want 💯 Definitely recommend!
Hadn't been here in 2 years since I'd picked up some turkey wings for my dad. Treated my dad when he stopped by on Sunday, 2-27-22. Also stopped by last night (4-10-22) to get a quick veggie plate.
My dad got the turkey with wings with the 2 included sides, an extra side, & the included drink. I tried their spaghetti with cabbage & fried okra in February. Yesterday, I had lima beans, mac & cheese, & yams. All orders had cornbread. The veggie plate came with a drink too. My dad thinks they cook the food too fast sometimes, causing meat to not be as tender as it'd be if it was slow cooked, but his food was ok this time.
I loved all the cheese that came with the spaghetti; it could've had a little more sauce & flavor. The lima beans hit the spot yesterday. Just could've used a little meat, & I'm not sure what the hard green piece was at the bottom of the beans.
The manager used to be in the restaurant all the time. I hadn't seen him the past few times I've stopped by. Hope he's ok.
Ok we weren't planning on stopping in at this place to eat but we did and I am sure glad we did. I got the porkchop in the gravy it was freaking great. I got some cabbage 🌽 bread muffin and mashed potatoes 🥔 and gravy. I enjoyed all of my food 🍲. The 🍋 lemonade was just right for me. The bathrooms were so freaking clean you really wouldn't believe it. I will be going back soon! Oh and the service was great and the staff was truly friendly
My first time ordering and the food was magnificent.. although the pig feet were a bit small for the price. Otherwise I really enjoyed.
