Whenever I am craving some good Mediterranean food, Yafo is my first choice. It is on the pricier side, but the food makes it worth it. Their falafel is always so warm and has just the right amount of crunch to it. I always get their BYOB and add greens with rice and all the toppings I can choose from cucumber tomatoes salad, chickpea salad chicken, and falafel. It's always a favorite, and it gets me full all the time. Everyone from the staff is super friendly and very efficient. They get that line moving. It's a small, cozy location. They have outdoor seating as well. It's definitely a good lunch spot, even if you're on the go.
Delightful cafeteria style restaurant. The food seemed fresh and was absolutely delicious. There was so very much to choose from, and the staff was so patient and helpful. I had an avocado chicken salad dish that had a hint of yellow curry and a sauce that capped it off beautifully. Definitely a must visit. I know we will be back.
Fast service. Delicious food. My kids like the creamy Mac and cheese with shawarma. My oldest likes the build your own bowl and all the healthy options that you can decide from. At one point we were coming here weekly during dance practice. I could feed one kid within the hour the other was at dance practice and then I would switch kids and feed the other one. Everyone who works there is smiling and helping each other.

I found this gem a few months back when I first moved to Charlotte and have been a loyal customer since. My favorite menu item is the 'create your own bowl' option which usually ends up lasting me for two meals because of their large portions. They have a large selection of fresh toppings, sides, and proteins, and everything tastes so good and authentic all at a great price (~$15/bowl with chicken, falafel, and cauliflower give or take) - life hack: use the pita bread they give you to make a falafel and cauliflower sandwich with their garlic sauce. SO GOOD!
The service is also great! The employees are super friendly and patient. They also offer a rewards program that they don't really advertise at all, so make sure to ask when you go in so you can start earning some points!
The one thing I wish was they offered was nutritional information! Regardless, as long as this place is around, I'll be there. Go check it out for yourself!
Really great quality food with fast service and cool environment. It’s slightly more expensive than usual chain style food (each portion come out to about 19-22$) but the ingredients they use seems like a high quality and tastes great. The portions are so big that we had to take “to go” tray and save some for later. Will definitely stop by again next time I’m in the area
I had to place an office delivery order last minute and their manager, Adrian, blew me away with her customer service and helpfulness. Brian at the Central location was incredible as well. I will be referring them to anyone I know in the area. So rare to find such helpful people today. Thank you again!
Was craving mediterranean food and I stumbled upon a jackpot. I love Mediterranean food but I don't eat it that often and this is the first place that I found in Charlotte that tasted really amazing. I really love the idea of the create your own bowl. I ordered a bowl with half jasmine rice and romaine for a base , hummus , Tzatziki , Cucumber tomato salad and even more Cucumber , sumac onions, seasoned beets, mediterranean pickles, feta cheese, and the most amazing Shawarma chicken!
I honestly could have just ordered the bowl itself because it's a-lot of food .
I ordered brussels sprouts on the side , so good and greek yogurt mac and cheese which i was apprehensive about ordering but it's very creamy , cheesy and good .
I was hoping the pita bread would be warm, but it was still soft and good .
Definitely a 5 star meal
for me I can't wait to eat more
We are vegiterian so mostly we make our own bowl, and we mostly prefer falafal,purple cabbage and sausage.

The rotisserie chicken was good as was the yogurt mac & cheese shells, and the falafel is amazing. The toppings on my wife’s bowl were about half dead by the time we got here right around 1230.
I started a healthy diet for 2023 and have been ordering these bowls for three days. They are so good and filling. No meat all vegetables..
Amazing! Best Mediterranean restaurant I have ever been to. Everything was so fresh and perfectly seasoned. Wish there was a Yafo Kitchen in Hickory. We agreed that we would drive to Charlotte again just to eat there. Wonderful food.
Absolutely wonderful meal! All items were fresh and delicious. Enjoyed the bowel with pita bread. Lots of delicious rice, couscous, vegetables, and chicken proten options.Unique tea beverage choices. We had the cucumber and mint, very refreshing. Great staff, they are attentive and anticipate your needs. We had carryout bowels and staff brought carryout bags before we left. A mother was there with 2 small toddlers in high chairs. She apologized for food spills. Staff responded that they were there to meet her needs and cheerfully swept up the dropped food. Looking forward to returning 😀
Very pleasantly surprised by this place! The food is very fresh and delicious! We both got bowls. If you get extras it could be a little towards the price your side but really you get a lot of food for that money!currently everyone is in masks. They have indoor space seating as well as plenty of outdoor seating. Overall very good experience

Delicious food served professionally and the best service. Every one was super nice and willing to explain the menu. The food is outstanding, flavorful and great quality. The steak kabobs are a must! And my kids loved the mac&cheese and the Brussel sprouts, YAFO knows how to cook. The cucumber fresh water is also stellar.
There are not enough stars ✨️ to rate this spot. Yummy food is always fresh, delicious, and healthy. My go-tos are falafel, grilled steak kabobs, Israeli hot chicken, brussel sprouts, tahini cauliflower, and make your own bowl.
Seriously, you can not go wrong here. For any present ideas....give me a YAFO gift card, and I will be beyond happy!
A few final thoughts: great service is consistently fantastic, and the inside is clean, comfortable, and relaxing. During normal mealtimes, it's better to order ahead even if dining indoors. The line can get long, and if someone is new to the menu, it translates to long ordering. :-/ I know this because I was THAT person!
Of course I love the Brussel sprouts and the mushrooms are my next favorite thing!!!
