Dropped Wife and her friend off at the Belk Theater for a show. So while walking around the city... Google Hoagie Shops and Sub One Hogie House came. Walked to it and was pleasantly surprised, food and service was great and they had a 96.5 Food Rating. I would definitely stop back if in the area.
Sub One Hoagie House has been on my radar for a while now and I finally got around to trying them out.
I went around 1pm on a Tuesday to avoid the noon lunch rush. There was a steady stream of customers while I was there and it took about 25 minutes for me to get my food ordered and out the door (so I recommend calling ahead and ordering if you are in a hurry).
I ordered the cheesesteak because 1) I love a good cheesesteak and 2) theirs gets great reviews. It was a good cheesesteak but a little heavy on the black pepper and not on the traditional Amoroso roll. But it was also not super greasy like other cheesesteaks are. The size was also pretty big for the price.
I’ll be back to try some other menu items.

Owner was nice. We were the only ones in the shop. Very good and fresh.
This place blows all the chain stores out of the water! Friendly staff, they even remember me and my order after months of being out of town. Hot subs are hot and freshly cooked. I stop by for lunch everytime I'm in town.
I come here regularly and have never been disappointed. As you can see they have great prices. They’re super friendly and quick, they can get busy during lunch time so I usually call in my order ahead. I recommend it for sure!
Super yummy but i recommend getting extra meat with the steak hoagies the regular one has very little meat. I’m a petite female so i don’t need a whole lot but the first time i came it was way more bread than meat. Happy with my purchase this time around w extra meat tho. Everything’s fresh and flavors are great.
Ooooooooohweeeeeee🥰 I had the NEW JERSEY SUB ...AND ATE THE WHOLE SANDWICH IT WAS SO GOOD! PLENTY OF MEAT ON IT! THE PRICE IS GREAT AND WELL WORTH THE TRIP TO THIS PLACE. THE QUALITY WAS THE BEST I HAVE EVER HAD. THANK YOU FOR THE FRESHNESS!!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE 💯%... JUST AMAZING👍
Awesome family-owned restaurant with a great group of guys running it. I go here at least once or twice a week for lunch. The sandwiches are delicious, great portions, and really inexpensive. You'll spend less than $10 for almost anything on the menu, and it's so worth it. Definitely check them out.
I got the number one New Jersey Hoagie omgoooosh I loved it and they were so kind to let me use the latrine without having made a purchase.
So I made a purchase and hung out for a while to eat it all up! Delicious and they all are kind fellows. I appreciate your hospitality and your wonderful food!

This place is spot on great food, service and price. If you are in downtown Charlotte, This is a must!! I only give 3 stars on atmosphere because it's a little tight due to so many people wanting to eat at this little downtown hidden treasure!
Oh my hoagie!!! Have wanted to try this place for a while, I got the Jersey Steak (#1) and it was AMAZING.
Can’t wait to come back and try more items.

I never leave reviews anywhere but I just tried this place for the first time and was very impressed! I’m a big sandwich guy, but I cannot stand overpaying for a sub. You will not overpay here, the Service was very fast and friendly and my Italian sub was delicious. I love to see a small business like that charging such a fair price. I will be back, many times!
Took the advice of another reviewer that said get the double meat. I didn’t regret it. Got the what I would call your basic Philly. None of that extra stuff. Food was delicious!
Now I only base my stars on food taste not dining in. Now that is where it needs to be worked on. Lightning was not the best and tables were sort of sticky. From what I could tell the locals just pickup and go. I wanted to dine inside but wasn’t appealing and didn’t feel fresh. Food 5 stars. Dining area 2 stars. Definitely try it out. Delicious!
Customer service is good I had the Philly steak sub very good I would definitely stop back by to eat their again.
Amazing foods, Reasonably Price, Great owners, The sweetest older gentleman taking orders up front this restaurant feel like one out of a movie that you see people grow up on. The folks here and the restaurant next to them have such an inviting atmosphere. They truly don’t make places like this anymore or maybe I’ve just never found them. It’s a really great break from your average charlotte hipster restaurant.
First time here. Ordered the house sub, hot. With lettuce, tomato, onion, oil and vinegar. It was not too bad. Will go back again and try other things. The lady at the counter was very friendly and had great customer service.
I come here all the time! It's a great family-owned restaurant that makes great food. The chicken parmesan sub, and the chicken gyro are my favorites. After you eat here once, you will keep coming back again and again. Trust me! This spot is a Charlotte gem. 😋
