Our experience having our wedding reception at The Big Chill was incredible! We worked with Kalie and she was amazing with every detail from the moment we started planning until the wedding night was over. The food was great, the drinks were on point, and everyone was amazed with the space. We were fully satisfied!! Thank you Kalie and team!
It is very partying and entertaining in the space and the staff are very friendly. The in-house catering is very good as well. The was also very professional. The bar is very good as well stocked with top shelf brands.
My husband and I had our reception at Big Chill on 11/06 and we could not have been more pleased! There are not enough words for how hard this team works, especially Mekenzie. She is one of a kind! Planning a wedding during COVID has been stressful, but she was with us every step of the way!! She had our reception planned out perfectly! We have not stopped receiving compliments from our family and friends about how wonderful everything was orchestrated! This place has everything you could want and more. Mekenzie was always one step ahead of us with planning and made us feel confident and extra special on our big day. Thank you so much!!!!
Truly Charlotte's hidden gem! One of my favorite venues in the Queen City ... the staff is top notch and will treat you right no matter how big or small your event is!
Nice venue to throw a party or dinner. Convenient to most of the Charlotte area.
Took my wife to an Adult Prom that was held here. She had a great time and it was a fantastic experience. Really good looking place.
I am so happy we went with Big Chill. Mekenzie, the venue coordinator, is seriously an angel/rock star/miracle worker. She talked me down so many times without even knowing it - truly put me at peace during planning and during my wedding day. The space is absolutely perfect - areas are separated beautifully for ceremony, cocktail hour, photo booth/bonus space, cake/dessert room, and reception area. The dance floor is the perfect size. The ideas they have are amazing (won't spoil here in case a future guest reads, but trust me, you'll find out if you go with them!). I want to relive my night over and over again. It was absolutely perfect and I am actually trying to find an event to go to at this space just so I can be in it again!

This is one of our favorite wedding ceremony and reception venues! The staff is amazing and always ready to lead a helping hand! Their attention to detail is impeccable and we absolutely love the event and venue managers! And let's not forget about the bar and FOOD!
LOVE LOVE LOVE this venue. Such a swank place. Very nice and accommodating staff, the food is 5 STARS, and the coordinators are on top of their game. I will never forget how amazing that food tasted. I'm going to be on the lookout for a future event here just to crash for the food. If you're not-so-sure of the price, this place is worth every penny spent you'll spend here. They meet with you three different times, and go over every single small little detail of your wedding and exactly how you wish it to be. They then write all of those details down, and see to it that it all happens on your big day. I was just so impressed with how everything turned out. This place has the best vibe ever for a wedding. So glad I chose Big Chill :-)

This review is overdue, but I can’t rave enough about The Big Chill, and can’t speak highly enough of the team there. My husband and I got married on June 6th, and worked with Mekenzie and Kaley. While planning in the midst of a pandemic was super stressful, Mekenzie and team kept us informed of any changes with the venue and CDC guidelines for our guests. Mekenzie kept us so organized prior to our wedding. We had meetings, phone calls, and in-person tours of the venue. It confidently made us know that we were in good hands. I could write a book about how easily our special day flowed, and how wonderful it was working with Mekenzie. You can tell she and the folks at The Big Chill really take pride in their work, and truly are passionate planners. They had a list of vendors they’d worked with, and a list of things to consider if I ever got lost about what was next for planning, or if I forgot something on my ever increasing list! Mekenzie was our Day-of coordinator. To anyone planning a wedding or event, do not skip out on hiring a Day-Of coordinator! I cannot stress this enough! Mekenzie helped us to know when to be ready after hair/makeup etc., when it was time to walk down the aisle, when we would be presented as husband and wife to our family and friends, when it was time for photos, special dances, greeting guests, cake cutting, dancing, departure, etc. She walked us through the flow of the evening a few times prior to our day to make sure we were all on the same page, where everyone would be standing, who would walk in when, etc., and she was flexible if any last minute changes needed to be made. She personally contacted and worked with the vendors we’d chosen for flowers, decorations, and cake delivery, and also our photographer and videographer. She worked with my Mom who had a surprise up her sleeve for our day, which was a photo booth for guests (GREAT SURPRISE AND INVESTMENT! I look at the pictures and notes guests left for us often!). On our wedding day, she even made sure we sat down and ate! The day went by at such a slow pace that we were able to take everything in, and not worry about anything at all because of Mekenzie. I have no idea of the amount of behind-the-scenes work she did, but she was OUTSTANDING! We were So Well taken care of! I look back just a few months later, and am so grateful to have worked with The Big Chill. I cannot thank them enough, especially Mekenzie for being so kind, gracious, organized, and wonderful to us. We have such great memories of our special day because of her! We wish her and The Big Chill nothing but much continued success in the future. We really had the best team and beautiful venue! Very nice venue. Staff/coordinators are friendly & responsive to emails & calls. The venue it's self is pretty classy. They even had a room that could be used for a "kids" area for events.
They offer a great all inclusive wedding package!
Absolutely adore this venue. Would definitely recommend booking ASAP as dates fill up fast. From the first time we toured the venue to our actual wedding day was nothing short of amazing. No need to get a wedding planner if you book this place because they stay on top of everything. From setting up your food tasting to coming up with your day of itinerary. Mekenzie and her team made our wedding day something to truly remember. Big Chill definitely knows how to plan a wedding. Now let’s talk about the food. Our wedding was 11/3/18 and people are still bragging about how excellent the food was. I truly thank Mekenzie and the team at Big Chill for helping us celebrate our wedding day and truly making our experience a joyous memory!!! Now book Big Chill I promise you won’t be disappointed!

We were absolutely thrilled with our wedding reception at the Big Chill. Tyler and the staff facilitated a seamless planning process and their attention to detail was comforting from the start. Tyler maintained an impressive balance between accommodating our requests and adding his solid recommendations that yielded a well organized and crisply coordinated event. The Big Chill clearly values its customers and worked to provide an incredible, unique, and memorable night. Our guests raved about the food, venue layout, and quality of the staff. We highly recommend the Big Chill!
I’ve been there thee times! Each time was different but each time it was momentous. The food was world class and service was best I ever experienced in Charlotte. On all three occasions we were celebrating romance. ( Do people do that anymore) We canoodled and loved every minute of being there and practically danced the night away. The BIG CHILL had a huge part in my staying in Charlotte.. I stayed! Go the the BIG CHILL and you’ll stay and be glad you did.
