Absolutely love this place. Not quite a dive spot, though somewhat has that feeling. They have a fantastic menu and their food is always delicious. Prices are very reasonable, and service is quick and efficient.
I’ve tried several menu items from pizzas, pasta, meatballs, meatball subs, wings and salads, and I’ve never been disappointed. Their pizza is just delicious. It has a great, New York style thickness with a perfectly cooked crust. Their meatballs are fabulous, perfect texture quite flavorful and are incredible on a sub and even by themselves.
It’s never overly busy, though the staff can get a bit overwhelmed. I’ve had a few incorrect orders on a few occasions both eating in and takeout. Nevertheless the food is delicious and I’ll take the occasional mistake.
They do take out, delivery and have plenty of seating inside. There are also several tables outside which is awesome. Plenty of parking in the lot either in front or behind, but the store isn’t visible from either of the major surrounding roads —you have to be in the Fountains plaza to find it.
First off, the people are soooo nice! The food was fantastic! We ordered the the eggplant and ricotta and also the chicken parmesan, they were awesome!
We had the chicken pesto pizza. The chef apologized for our wait, but it was because he was making our dough fresh, right then! This is the highest quality, best tasting, authentic NY pizza I've had outside of NY. The owner was there and spoke to us; everyone very friendly. I can't give Anzi enough stars. Everything fresh, every single day, made lovingly by hand.
This was b4 COVID, so I'm now sure about those precautions.
Anzi Pizzeria is one of the best Italian restaurants that my family and I have found in the Charlotte area. Food and service have been consistently great for years. Garlic knots are one of a kind; however, everything that we have ever ordered has been delicious. It’s always a treat to visit Anzi and we will continue to recommend this place to our friends and neighbors.
Just stopped in with my husband and two kiddos, and we had the best pizza around town! Everyone was very polite and this is definitely our new pizza place, possibly even the best we’ve ever had. Also, the homemade tiramisu was delicious!
Awesome pizza. New York style in south Charlotte. We were disappointed to hear they closed their location in Stonecrest and were delighted to learn of their new location that’s even closer to us. Highly recommended and one of our top 3 family dinner locations for pizza.
We had the opportunity to visit several times in Dec 2019 and January 2020. Both times the food was fantastic, the service the first visit left a little to be desired, but we had a good discussion with manager, and will say on second visit back in January things definitely felt different. Appreciate that our concerns were addressed and training improved. The food, as always fantastic.
The best pizza in Charlotte. The key to a great pizza is the crust, and they know how to make it just right. I am in the food business and I don't give out complements too easily. Good job.
Took the family there on a Wednesday. We are from NYC and have a standard for pizza. Never heard of Anzi but figured we'd give it a try. That was tremendous pizza! First time I found pizza in Charlotte area with a real crust! If you lived in NY, you'd know. As we were leaving I met the owner and praised his food, and mentioned the crust. He asked if I was from NY as he was from Glen Cove, Long Island, and this pizza has "Glen Cove crust." There is something to it! We also had an Eggplant Parm hero, Chicken Parm and Penne w/Vodka Sauce. Very well done food.
Why there is no buzz about Anzi Pizza is beyond me. Maybe it's just tucked away a bit in a local shopping mall? If I'm rating pizza in Union County/South Charlotte, Anzi is now at the top of the list. This is the real deal!
My family loves this place! Of course the pizza is the best in town but tonight my wife and I ordered the chicken Parm dinner and it was fantastic! A huge portion and it tasted like my grandma made it! Looking forward to our next order!
We have searched a long time for a feat pizza - being from NYC it's been a tough search. But Anzi's was a great find, & has a great pie!! The crust is just right: not too thick, not to thin, & perfectly crisped on the bottom. The sauce is delicious, not too salty or sweet like some are. Good mozzarella, too: gooey but not rubbery. There are many toppings to choose from, & they have a variety of Italian entrees as well, & sandwiches. The garlic knots are really big & very tasty! There are daily specials, too. Dine-in, take-out, & they have delivery with Postmates & Grubhub, too. Enjoy!
You have to try the grilled chicken penne pasta with pink sauce ! I drive from Concord to Anzi’s pizza because there is no other pizzeria or restaurant that I’ve tried so far that comes close to the flavor of this pasta . Love the home and welcoming feeling I receive all the time , Definitely recommend you make some time and stop by .

Probably of my favorite pizza places. Original and fresh. It is well made. The pizzas are very oily (I love this). Made in a pizza oven fresh. Has good pastas.
