Absolutely hands down the best cookies I've ever put in my mouth!!!! Huge, soft, full of flavor!! We ended up getting a dozen and tried just about half of what they had to offer. Was not disappointed with a single one!!! The Ron Swanson was certainly a hit!!

I used to live in Boone and I visited all the time! I was so happy to hear they have opened one in Charlotte. Best cookies ever. Especially now that I'm pregnant, I'm in heaven! Last time I was there, I brought my Dad and they were so nice and spoke to us for a while, answered all of my dads questions (he talks a lot) lol. They even threw in a free cookie with our order. I can't say enough good things about them! ��
We stopped in and picked up a dozen fresh made to order cookies - snicker doodles, chocolate chips, cheesecake, blueberry with white chocolate chips in an oatmeal cookie and several others! GREAT selection and amazing cookies! Thanks! �
The cookies are absolutely delicious! And they will bake cookies for you fresh, even if you just want one cookie!! !!!!!! The cookies are sooooo good. My favorite is the chocolate chip, but the cheesecake cookies are also super tasty. ��

What a gem to find in the University area of Charlotte. Saw their sign at the entrance into Target and just had to check it out (probably because I hadn't had lunch yet). I was greeted by the wonderful aroma of baked cookies. The best part is you can buy what they have in their case, as the cookies are baked from scratch daily or you can wait 15-20 minutes at a table inside and they will bake them to order. You can't get any fresher than that! The cookies are so good that I think I shall be back for more.
Cookies were so fresh and delcious. If you order, you can choose among fresh bake cookie or already made cookie. If you want to order fresh bake, you have to wait 15~20min, so I recommand order ahead.

I stopped into the shop earlier today for the first time because I had a Money Mailer coupon for a free cookie, no strings attached. (Businesses take note: *that's* how you get people to try your wares.) I arrived shortly after noon, found a single, energetic, friendly young employee who was more than happy to trade my coupon for a cookie as well as to back her claim that these were the best cookies to be found anywhere. I selected from what was at least a dozen different varieties the Chocolate Peanut Butter Porter cookie. And do you know what? I believe it actually was the best cookie I've ever had. Soft, chewy, still a bit warm, and extremely flavorful, I had absolutely no complaints. Now, if only I could have paired it with some homemade vanilla bean ice cream...
My wife and I were visiting and had a cookie craving, we found this great little place. We were welcome by MORGAN, who was smiling and very friendly. She had some great suggestions and when we ordered she even offered to make a fresh Batch of the ones we select. She is total awesome and one of the reasons we enjoyed ourselves. Cookies were very well done, moist and chewy yeah crunchy around the edge... just so delicious. We even had some left over the following day and were still great. The recipe they had were very creative, especially the “Ron Swanson”. Yet my favorite had to be the oat meal. Overall a great place to visit, make sure to ask for Morgan

I haven't even eaten a cookie yet, but I'm going on the advice of one of the bakers. But don't worry, I'll be enjoying several in the coming week! I stopped at the original cookie store in Boone, NC. Definitely the best cookies and cool that they make them on the spot. You could get a dozen cookies and each of them different from the other. Buy 1 or as many as you want. Thumbs up!
I feel in love with the cookies and cream cookie months ago, so today I placed my order as usual and got a surprise when I got home. The cookie had chocolate chips in them. Of course I called the store thinking I had received the wrong order and the young lady simply said, “Oh yea, this batch came with chocolate chips”...personally, I feel that if a change has taken place, it should be forewarned while taking the order. I don’t care for chocolate chips and that’s one reason I feel in love with the cookies and cream. Hopefully you’ll go back to the original batch...😏
They have a wide selection of cookies you can walk in and get, and their fresh baked to order cookies are fantastic! I recommend the Yosef (for anybody! even if you aren't Vegan/gluten-free) and the dark chocolate red wine cookies.

I wish they were open a little later, so I could get my gluten free cookies after work, but I love this place. They will make fresh backed cookies for you, in 15 min. The chocolate chip and Yosif GF cookies are the best.

I"ve visited the Charlotte location 3 times and each experience has been more delicious than before. I've tried the following cookies: Choc Chip, Choc PB Porter, Peanut Butter, Ron Swanson, Blueberry WC Oatmeal, Yosef, etc. All flavors have been excellent. Their business model is based on make-to-order fresh cookies. Each time I've come into the store and placed an order in person. You wait approximately 15 minutes and receive cookies right OUT OF THE OVEN. How awesome is that? Each time they are piping hot, gooey, and amazing!
It seems the few negative reviews on here are mostly centered around people who ate the display cookies at the front (which are cold), and/or people who aren't patient enough to wait 15 minutes for fresh cookies.
I'm sorry, but if you can't wait 15 minutes for cookies, you really need to reevaluate your life priorities. I'm a small business owner and work 80 hour weeks, and I can still wait 15 minutes for cookies. Your life isn't that important people, get over yourselves.
My only advice to the store would be maybe stop selling the cold display cookies? It still might be good to leave them up front so people know what they look like, but if people are getting the wrong idea of the quality of your product, I would suggest possibly only selling make-to-order cookies.
Blueberry oatmeal cookie is everything!!! Cookies and cream, molasses are yummy too. The hours however have been making it very difficult to ever catch them while they're open which is rather unfortunate because there have been multiple occasions where I would have bought cookies but they're already closed for the day.
Remember that one time you had a cookie that was the right balance of soft and crispy? When it just melts and falls apart but is still cooked all the way through and you ate the whole box before you knew it? These guys make cookies just like that EVERY TIME. I have no idea how they make them so perfectly but you'll see me at here in the middle of the night filling that very specific craving.
It's glorious. I tell everyone that will listen about these cookies. Yosef specifically is the best cookie I've ever had in my life. My love for them goes deeper than you can imagine. Example.. I was getting prepped for surgery and told the woman putting in my IV I need to be distracted or I'll pass out. She goes "what's your favorite kind of cake?" I go "f#@% cake. Have you been to Appalachia cookie company?"
Best cookie company I have ever bought from. Gluten free and vegan options and they don’t taste like cardboard or crumble when you touch them. The only downside is they don’t have a location near me but that doesn’t stop me from ordering and having them shipped!
The cookies are the best I have ever had! In addition to the cookies, their customer service is awesome. I made a mistake with my online order and sent to the wrong address. Management quickly responded to my email and took care of the issue right away.
Listen! This is the BEST cookie spot ever. I honestly love the fact that they bake your cookies fresh. But they are soooooooooooo good. My favorite is the cheesecake cookie and the sugar cookie. Don't pass them up, Appalachia Cookie Co. is excellent.
