First time visiting this spot. Loved the food, the waitress was on point. A must visit place.
I frequent 7th district quite a bit for the food,music and atmosphere . All three of those are always on point . I recently took my mother and grandmother there , for the Mother’s Day brunch the red velvet waffles and fried chicken were out of this world. The music was appropriate for my grandmother and the vibes and atmosphere were outstanding . They want to come back . ��
My family and friends went yesterday for my birthday. The food and drinks were great! The waitress was on point. Music set the right atmosphere.. And the topper was when the owner came out and talked with us for about 30 minutes or more and was opened to buying cakes from a great friend that loves to bake.
Went to 7th District with another couple and we had an awesome time! The food was finger lick’n, the presentation was great and the music was on point! We’ll be back for sure!
This is my favorite place to eat, the drinks are always good. If you in Charlotte you must stop by in have the chicken and waffles.
The food is very very delicious I have the chicken and red velvet waffles and a shrimp and grits. And I love seeing a black man from Wilmington North Carolina doing something big. Keep up the good work Boss
Ate here for the first time tonight and everything about this place screams WOW!! Walked in sat right down, the hostess took our drinks in order to avoid us having to wait for them which I thought was a smart and nice idea. The waitress came right over, we ordered our food and it came out within a normal timeframe. The Entire Atmosphere of the place was so chill and relaxed down to the lighting, comfortable seating, and the ol' school slow jams were the best!! The food is something you crave once you leave!! Can't wait to go back to Charlotte just to eat here again!! FYI...�The Mac and Cheese is ahhh-mazing!! Definitely a must try.
The shrimp and grits is definitely a MUST-TRY, the grits were seasoned very well, the shrimp were plump and that Cajun/Creole sauce makes it something truly heartwarming. I added cheese to the meal, worth the +$1. Rating - 4.5/5.
The chicken and waffles were good as well, the waffles were fire because you can have them in different flavors, appreciate the variety! We got Vanilla and it did not miss. Rating - 4.5/5.
Went here for a game night that was hosted by friends. Really nice black owned establishment. The decor was nice, warm and welcoming. Game night was very interactive and a success. For drinks I got a strawberry on the margarita, & my sister had the mango one. I ordered the salmon with mashed potatoes they were both delicious! I got a 3 piece whole wing which could have been fried harder very soft. Someone else In my party order the wings also and they were fried hard. Over all I will return .
Came here before the hornets vs Magic game was definitely a vibe good the fish and grits was amazing the shrimp was okay the drinks was wonderful. We sat at the bar being that we didn’t have reservations and we didn’t have to much time to wait. Our bartender was awesome wish I remembered her name but she was very helpful and kind. Restaurant was a walking distance from the arena also overall go try them out and make sure you make reservations
I love this place!! The collard green dip was the best dip I've ever had!! I was saddened to hear this beautiful black owned restaurant closed down. When I went two weeks, it was my first visit. It was on my list to go for about a year, so I am happy I was able to experience the dip and the shrimp and grits before it shut down. Here's hoping that they begin anew someday!
I love the vibe. I ordered the lemon pepper honey wings and they were AMAZING...OMG but the other food I ordered was not all that good. The shrimp and grits wasn't good. My french toast was a little burnt but soggy on the inside. The whole chicken wings wasn't seasoned and neither was the potatoes. Now them mimosas....They were so good. Some of the best I've ever had.
I chose to dine here for my birthday and I was not at all disappointed. Everything about my experience was TOP TIER. I drove an hour just to try the Salmon bites and ended up leaving with an additional to go order of them 😂. The vibes were perfect my SERVER WAS AN ABSOLUTE SWEETHEART. She was patient , answered all questions even though we watched her serve majority of the tables alone she never let that affect her attitude. 10/10 recommend trying this restaurant !
The owner and wait staff were very friendly and nice the entire time! We were a larger group and they accommodated us perfectly. The music taste was amazing, alcoholic drinks were great, and the food was so good. They have the best shrimp and grits I’ve ever ate! Their red velvet chicken and waffles were also amazing! I am definitely going stop by again next time I’m in town! I loved the entire vibe.
This was my first time here and I absolutely enjoyed. We were seated within 5-6 mins of our reservation and the food was amazing. The staff was very friendly as well. I took a to go meal cause everything was better than advertised. I will definitely be back.
There is nothing left to say after red velvet waffles and chicken. The waffles still had a waffles texture which didn't take away from the original dish. It was just a spin. The salad was very fresh and crispy. Our server kept glasses full and orders correct. The only minus is the parking situation. Food music, huge windows for people watching. This is a new hang out spot.
This was my first time at this restaurant and I enjoyed the fact it was not crowded and they were under staffed but the General Manager provided us with excellent service and made sure our experience was absolutely amazing. The food was hot and we thoroughly enjoyed it. I would recommend this place.
Absolutely loved the food, the music, the drinks, my waiter! I find myself recommending this brunch spot all the time. My #1 favorite at the moment! I added a before & after pic of my food🤣
First time going here.. friendly staff and food was amazing!!! Salmon balls the best I ever had! Red velvet waffles and chicken was delicious! Would definitely recommend!
My food was good but my siblings didn't too much enjoy theirs. The pictures are what I had and the Waffles were good as well. Two siblings had the lemon pepper salmon, they said it tasted fishy. The wedge salad was not all of that. Salmon bites were good. Great atmosphere but our waitress seemed like she was new and kept forgetting to grab things. She even used 1 card to pay for multiple tickets when there was cash on top of 1 ticket. Luckily it was my brother's card and my sister's ticket so it was ok. The choice of music playing was PERFECT! I would probably go again but with a smaller group. I had the fried pork chop meal too, forgot to take a picture... it was delicious as well.

Had brunch here. They were understaffed and opened late. Very limited menu. Pricey. Our server was extremely pleasant and attentive very attentive. My French toast, albeit lukewarm, was very tasty. My pineapple mimosa was fine. I noticed that they were full to capacity. Folks had to wait on a table. Decor is nice. The chef was definitely cranking the dishes out. He was on it for sure. Notice the chicken and red velvet waffles looked amazing. Didn’t see anybody sending any food back. Not sure if I wanna stand in line again for brunch though…

The food was AMAZING and a must try if you are in Charlotte NC. I had the mambo shrimp and the French toast and chicken wings and it was perfect. The vibes were really nice and chill. Our serving and bartender Toya was really helpful and made the experience 10/10
